In the constellation of Monoceros, lies the Rosette Nebula, but I like to call it the Skull Nebula as once you see the eye socket and nose it's hard to see anything but a skull from that point on.

It is an area of incredibly strong emission nebulae, particularly in Hydrogen Alpha (red) and Oxygen III (blue) mixing within the structure are areas of dust which block the light behind giving wonderful contrast between light and dark mixing with the red/blue colour contrast. It's a beautiful frame to ponder over.

Added to the scene are stars taken in natural colour RGB, which add a beautiful splash of yellow, orange and blue throughout the gas cloud.

This is one of my favourite areas in the sky and thought it would make a wonderful edition to share among with more people than my 1/1 Astro Panorama collection.

A Celestial Skull

In the constellation of Orion, the great hunter, lies the central 3 stars commonly known as Orion's Belt. 

This image shows the the hot blue super giant left hand star (Northern Hemisphere) is Alnitak and is surrounded by some truly special nebulosity. 

To the upper left in this is image is the yellow Flame Nebula, it just needs a cosmic candle sat underneath it as it's namesake is incredibly accurate a description. 

Directly beneath Alnitak lies the dark nebula that is the Horsehead Nebula, another nebula that really does look like it's name. This is formed by an area of dust blocking out the deep red Hydrogen Alpha light being emitted behind it.

The Dark and Light of Orion

Cygnus is the focus of the Northern Milky Way, a constellation dominated by Hydrogen gas in vast quantities, creating patterns and hues that I can gave at for hours.

This image shows the very center of the constellation with the bright Sadr burning bottom left and the Butterfly Nebula beneath it. To the upper left is the Crescent Nebula, an area of strong Hydrogen and Oxygen gas emission.

Heart of the Swan

It's not just the current crypto market or NFT degen trading that's rekt.

Astrophotography is an endeavour of many issues, it's a genuine labour of love. Battling the weather, your equipment, light pollution, as well as the software problems that can come with collecting and processing your images.

Astro will present you with problems in all these fields and if you overcome them all you will get an image that you can be proud of.

This image, ASTRO REKT, is here to give heart for all the times wen your best just isn't good enough, wen despite everything something just will not let you obtain the image you deserve.

REKT is a mindset however, and redemption will always come to those who believe and stay the course.

To say thank you this image was airdropped to all holders who held either 2 or 3 ASTRO REKT tokens during the snapshot. With holders of 3 qualifying for a print of their choice from REKT or LFG Pt 1 or 2.

Prior to my astro-camera hitting the wall I did collect enough data to generate images that I'm happy with, given the struggle to collect usable data. 

ASTRO LFG Pt 1 & 2 highlight the fighting spirit that all astrophotographers need. You may not have got the perfect data set that you wanted but you can fight and battle and do the best you can with what you with.

The Heart and Soul Nebula in the constellation of Cassiopeia is presented here in the narrowband palette of HOO, that is Hydrogen alpha is captured in the red channel, Oxygen 3 is captured in green and blue channels. Showing narrowband this way minimises the stars naturally allowing more emphasis to be brought to the gas structure and colour contrast within.
