There are few in Kurindar old enough to remember when the last of the fae still roamed the wilds; before Ae'Tar drove their kind to extinction. The legends say that the eldest of the fae gave their lives to conjure a great magic that allowed the last surviving members of their race to escape beyond the veil. While no one knows for certain, there is no denying that powerful forces of some kind surround the ruins known as the Aegis of the Sun.

She knew she couldn't ever truly experience the beauty of Mao Mao City, the stories were very clear that the city had fallen during the last great war, when the Kung Paw were finally defeated, albeit at great cost.  She couldn't stop thinking what that old tabby had said though... he seemed so certain of his beliefs. Could it be that she was truly the grandaughter of the exile? The legends never mentioned anything more of Captain Aditi after his exile, and the rumor that he had been found by the most loyal soldiers of the Kung Paw; deep in the belly of Shao Mountain, dabbling with dark powers not meant for kitty kind. But then, there were conflicting theories about how kitties learned to change their form by light of day to one resembling that of the hoomans of ancient times. Not even the great royal mages could say with any certainty why kitties gained this ability, nor did they know for sure why it was only possible in daylight; most kitties simply accepted the common belief that it was a gift offered them by the Kitty God, whose gaze strays to the west when night falls. The uncertianty was too much to bear. She had overheard the royal mages speaking of a spell they'd discovered that may let them witness events of the past, If she WAS a descendant of Aditi, and assuming the rumors of his involvement with dark magics were true, then maybe, just maybe, she could harness the ancient captains power, now possibly flowing through her veins, and could succeed where the royal mages had failed. 

Protect her Kitty God, she is young and has too important a destiny...

Visions of the Past

The mystical land of Kurindar holds endless wonders. One such spectacle is known simply as the Crumbling Keep. Its true origins have been lost to history, and appears to be little more than an abandoned castle, bereft of its former glory. Residents of nearby villages claim the keep is cursed, and warn against going near the castle at night. They say the moon awakens the ancient spirits within... and they do not take kindly to visitors.
