Mistress

Art means researching and searching for oneself through the prism of the history that dates back centuries. My inspiration for this collection have been the prints of the graphic artist Maurits Escher and the bronze sculptures of Yves Pires. I got my first album with Escher's works at the age of 13. His precise calculation and spatial thinking coupled with creation of surrealistic worlds captivated me. I have not become an artist in the conventional sense; however, I create my worlds, but my canvases are Jpegs, and my paints are the light that I use to “dress” my models. In this collection, I wished to transform the beauty of a naked body into graphic objects. Shift in proportions, exaggerated forms and pitch black colour are like the bronze works of Pires. Let them fly and overcome the gravity of your mind.

Every year, the world will become more aggressive. I wanted to show a flash from a nuclear explosion on a naked body. As if the burn from the flash remains on her back. We do not see her face, but we can imagine her elusive beauty.

FUN NO DOUBT

How might I reclaim the exhilaration experienced on our first date? How can I rekindle that fluttering sensation of butterflies within me? There was a time when my job was my greatest paramour, imbued with a passion that was pure and unfeigned. But as with any long-term commitment, the initial fervor inevitably gives way to indifference and apathy. Every action, every utterance becomes predictable. Adjusting the diaphragm to 50, setting the ISO at 1000, illuminating the background or triggering the backlight. The earlier thrill has faded, replaced by monotonous routine, obligatory smiles, and flawless results. Such perfection, predictability, and comprehension have become nauseatingly repulsive.
We had been divorced for a year and a half when I realized that I would be moving. I thought about leaving you alone in the empty apartment. But how could I betray our love? I renounced professional lighting, photo studios, and models. Now it's just you and me, like the first time...
