A Body:  
A native of São Gonçalo, this 25 year old young man boasts a remarkable academic record, having earned his bachelor's degree in Geography at the age of 24 and promptly pursuing his master's degree. Driven by a deep concern for humanity's future and our relationship with the planet, he dedicates himself to his role as an Environmental Educator, empowering young minds with the knowledge and appreciation for nature and promoting sustainable living.

Tragically, his faith in humanity was destroyed a few years ago when his father fell victim to the rampant violence and unrest in Rio de Janeiro, murdered. A product of systemic injustice, inequality, racism, and corruption. Despite this devastating loss, he holds onto a glimmer of hope for the future, believing that if humanity can find a way to preserve the Earth, maybe, just maybe, there will be something to be grateful about mankind.

A Dream:  
To be a university professor, doctor and a mirror for the black LGBTQIA+ youth.

A Regret:  
No saying something meaningful to his father a day before he passed.

A Body:

Sharing an apartment with her boyfriend, 5 dogs and 4 cats, she's got over 110 tattoos adorning her 28 years old body and plans to add even more as long as there's skin to be painted. Bachelor in International Relations, but working as a marketing advisor, she comes from a privileged background but carries no biases in her friendships and moves effortlessly through any social circle with a simple, uplifting perspective on life.

However, her inner thoughts tell a different story. Battling with issues of self-image, anxiety and depression, she struggles to see herself in the same positive light she projects outwardly, often in ways that are concerning and self-destructive, particularly when it comes to her weight. Despite undergoing bariatric surgery to achieve the long desired slim body, her reflection still fails to meet her own unattainable standards.

A Regret: not spending more time with her paternal grandmother

Pastries and desserts aren't suppose to fill your stomach, or end your hunger. They exist to satisfy our desires, to play with our senses from eyes to tongue, attracting, enticing and seducing us until the last bite. At the same time, they're capable of awakening the faintest memories, bringing back smells, flavors and sensations we thought were lost in the 
subconscious. The grandma cake, the aroma of freshly baked bread from that old childhood bakery, the dessert from a Christmas past you somehow never ate again. That's a reason we use "sweet" as an adjective for things we cherish and love.

The secret for a good dessert lies in balance, requiring precise measurements of sugar, fat, salt, temperature, sequence, and timing. Achieving the perfect blend of these elements takes years of dedicated study and practice. The lady in the image is the best Pastry Chef I know and, as you can see in the image, she's not taking talent for granted.

As her lucky husband, I've had the privilege of watching her develop many recipes, including the her perfect, flawless and unpaired Chocolate Chip Cookie. It took her years of tinkering to ultimate the recipe, but trust me, it's the best cookie you'll ever sink your teeth into. 
I know you may be skeptical, thinking you've already tasted the best of all cookies, but I'm telling you: you're utterly and inexorably wrong.

This piece has a special bidder's edition. Every bidder will be airdropped the recipe for the perfect cookie. The winner will also get the recipe for the most traditional Brazilian dessert: Pudim, And if they're in Brazil, she'll also send a batch of cookies.

A Body:  
In a small apartment with two cats, a few musical instruments, analog cameras and many, many rolls of film, this 25 years old photographer found room for a bed,  computer and a small kitchen.

The bathroom was converted into a darkroom transforming this tiny home into a Photography Sanctuary, a term that would be well suited for the body itself. He works, lives and dreams of photography, seeing himself as a vessel for Art's higher purpose.

A Dream:  
To understand the photography to the point of revealing the world, life and existence itself to others.

A Regret:  
Being unable of loving his mother.

A Body:  
Living with his mother on a tight budget as a kid, this 31 years old man began working at a young age by making and selling necklaces and bamboo kites to earn money. At the age of 18, started working in telemarketing and quickly became the top performer in his department at a major bank. 

However, his success drew unwanted attention, leading to an investigation by the bank for exceeding his targets. Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing, he found himself unable to advance further in the department. His boss advised him to take the test to work at a bank branch. He initially failed the test, but studied hard and nearly aced it on his second attempt. He was approached by several banks but decided to stay where he was, eventually earning a promotion to sub-manager at just 25 years old.

At 26, he moved to the United States and purchased a car with his savings. Despite not knowing English, he began driving for Uber in Boston to make some money. However, his world was turned upside down when he received a call from his mother, informing him that she had a brain tumor. He moved his mother to the US and they relocated to Worcester to save money and ensure she had access to the best possible medical care. Thanks to the Massachusetts health care programs, her treatment was free of charge.

Once his mother was healed and afraid he’d lose the visa, they went back to Brazil for 6 months. His mom stayed and he returned to the US, this time working as a painter and a few extra jobs. It was during this period that he started to work with mobile and web apps, dedicating 100% of his time to it, making more money than he thought he’d ever be able to.

In 2020, afraid the pandemic would restrict travels, he flew back to Brazil. Few months after his return, the apps he worked on were taken down. As he searched for a good investment for his savings, he was offered a partnership in a bank that was expanding fast in Brazil. They had ads in airports and hired celebrities for their campaigns. Unfortunately it turned out to be an elaborate scam and he lost most of his money, having to reinvent himself once more.

A Dream: 
Achieve financial freedom.

A Regret: 
Losing most of his money in a scam.

The concept behind this collection is the allure/danger balance. Seven pieces lingering in a gray zone I call Tainted Beauty. Nothing is 100% beautiful or despicable. And every act has a consequence.

The Seven Deadly Sins

By the time of this photograph was taken, in 2018, this piece of land hadn't seen water for seven years. 
It dried, suffering and the micro valleys appeared. The reaction of a soil carved by the sun, breaking, twisting over itself, creating endless corridors of thirst. Valleys devoid of life.

X marks the spots. A cultural threshold between pride and vulnerability. Some men will flaunt one side and protect the other, some men a proud to see beyond the labels. 

Regardless of a man's orientation or taboos, the X also marks a biological spot, being a center of pleasure, the headquarters of the reproductive system, and the cause of thousands of deaths every year, making prostate cancer the fifth most common cause of cancer death globally, and yet, several men still refuse to take the prostate exam.

From below, under the standing man, the X conveys strength, power and force. Perhaps to steer the viewer away from the weaknesses of this hidden and delicate spot, so essential to men.

SHOUT

A Body, a Dream, a Regret (BDR) is a photojournalistic series of 52 photographs of nude and anonymous individuals, accompanied by accounts of their dreams and regrets. This collection uses blockchain technology to organize and present data in a way that provides a deeper exploration of life perspectives. By adding detailed attributes such as gender, age, and color, as well as the dreams and regrets of each subject, connections between the individuals can be discovered in a way that a traditional photography book cannot offer.

BDR is an alternative approach to nude art, freeing itself from the male and heterocentric perspective that dominates the genre, by abstracting labels, prejudices, and definitions about the body to the point of excluding obvious identifications of each participant.

By presenting a diverse range of people and stories, the series offers a challenging and provocative insight into the human experience. The project is more than just a collection of nude photographs; it is a celebration of the diversity and complexity of this adventure we embark on together, the journey of life, as recounted by people of all kinds and in different stages of the journey.
