Peacocks are a wonderful symbol of transformation. Often used on images of gurus, especially in the Eastern parts of the world.
Like a guru (a teacher), transforming the poisons in the mind of the student, the peacock creates the beautiful colors in its feathers by ingesting poison. 
The peacock is a gorgeous bird, not only for its vibrant colors but also for what it represents.

The scarlet macaw (Ara Macao) is a large red, yellow, and blue Central and South American parrot, a member of a large group of Neotropical parrots called macaws. It is native to humid evergreen forests of tropical Central and South America. The range extends from south-eastern Mexico to the Peruvian Amazon, Colombia, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Brazil in lowlands of 500 m (1,640 ft) (at least formerly) up to 1,000 m (3,281 ft). In some areas, it has suffered local extinction because of habitat destruction or capture for the parrot trade, but in other areas, it remains fairly common.

I've been waiting for an opportunity to get my kid to mint his first NFT.
(at the time of mint, he is 9yo)

This month, he's seen me work on some dark art for a few projects, and he kept on telling me he had an idea that I should paint. So he said he would sketch it. I thought it was pretty cool, so I worked over it, adding some colors and animation, and here is our very first collab! Just to get him started. 

Characters he was inspired by: 
- Octopus Nightmare from Slumberland (it doesn't have an official name that we know of)
- Krill/Dark Dragon/Dark Creature from Sky Children of Light
- Avatar of Wrath and Total Transformation from BTD6
- In the middle is a character he invented, with no backstory or origin or lore that Matpat needs to cover. (a joke with a reference to a YouTuber he likes.)

The art was created digitally on Procreate, from his sketch to my coloring and animation.

Native to India, the survival of this endangered species (Panthera tigris) is seriously threatened by losses of their habitat plus the extremely large-scale incidence of poaching.  And, sadly, none of the Tiger Conservation Landscapes within the Bengal tiger’s living range is large enough to support an effective population of 250 tigers.                                                                                       
In addition, the 2006 Forest Rights Act passed by the Indian government grants some of the country’s most impoverished communities the right to own and live in the forests. However, humans and tigers cannot co-exist, and thus trying to resolve one critical issue has exacerbated another. Under-trained and ill-equipped forest department staff only add to the dire situation.

Can’t you just hear them buzzing?                                                                                                                              
The Bombus affinis, commonly known as the rusty patched bumble bee, is native to North America. It emerges early in April and is one of the last species to go into hibernation in September. This important insect pollinates numerous crops in our food supply, and it needs a constant supply of flowers blooming throughout the colony’s long life.                                                                                                                           
Historically, the bee with the rust-colored patch on its back has lived throughout the United States Midwest region, as well as south to Georgia, and west to the Dakotas. It also has lived as far north as Canada. Unfortunately, its numbers have declined in 87% of its historical habitat range.                             
In 2017, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service placed B. affinis on the list of endangered species, making it the first bee in the continental United States ever to be added to the list.                                                                                                                                                            I’m sure you can sense their energy and industrious nature as you color these bumble bees in their hive.
