It was a cold day in December, I was walking up the "Dent de Vaulion" in Switzerland looking for an image to create. I saw the pattern of snow and thought that I would give a very nice foreground. I looked back and saw those incredible pines, partially covered in snow. 

One was closer to me and looked like it was leading the way for the others. The clouds were low and moving across the forest giving a nice depth and mystery to the scene.

Using IR, I wanted to emphasize the cold weather. I kept the blue tones that the 720 nm delivers and worked from there to create an unforgettable image.

All my life I loved creating, looking at what's around me in a new way, and capturing beyond the usual. Infrared photography opened so many doors to my creativity. I never thought I would enjoy so much this new technique, but here it is, a few months after getting my first filter, I just can't get enough of it!

The idea behind this work was to create something truly unique with an infrared slow-motion timelapse to illustrate the collection. All the 100 shots used have been taken using a 720 nm filter, on a full spectrum Canon 5D MKII, and edited one by one to make sure the final will look as I pictured it.

This is the official piece of my collection "1R 7R335 - The Otherworld". It has been used on the poster presenting my collection and is available, as an edition of 10, two weeks before the release of the collection.

I've discovered a playful technique in infrared photography. The ability to alter the colors and contrast of a scene naturally, while on location, is captivating.

The surrounding landscape transformed into a canvas of possibility, a veritable playground. Blue, orange, red, cyan, yellow, ... an entire spectrum of tones became available to me, leaving the interpretation of the scene in my hands.

"PLAYGROUND" embodies this very process of color selection. From the blue tones to a muted orange, you have the power to adjust the landscape's colors and make it yours. This interactive piece blurs the lines between artist and viewer.

Here's a glimpse into the process: the image you see is a horizontal panorama, stitched together from five vertical shots. The 590nm filter provided a vibrant color base. Initially, the sky appeared orange, while the organic elements such as trees and grass took on a blue tone. A common initial step in editing infrared images is to swap the blue and red channels, thus reversing the blue and orange tones.

It was this specific step that allowed me to craft an image with interchangeable orange and blue elements. Then, I assembled a puzzle with the five segments I wanted to toggle. A bit of coding later, and the project came to life!

Don’t we all need some good vibes?

Keeping a positive mindset can be a real challenge. It’s usually easy when everything works out, but it can seem impossible during more complicated times...

I believe there is something worth living no matter how hard life can be.

In my journey as an artist, I’ve learned to take a step back when difficulties come. The most important step for me is to focus on what I can control and keep moving.

This piece evolves throughout your day, wherever you are in the world, depending on the sun’s position.

It uses four images taken using infrared light with a full spectrum camera. All the shots were taken at the same time using three different filters to create four different times of the day.

The filter IR Chrome for the day, 590 nm, and two different edits for the sunrise and sunset. The night shot is a composition of the tree taken at 720 nm, creating a beautiful dark blue sky, on which I’ve added the stars taken in the Swiss Alps.

I've found myself spending an increasing amount of time scooting new locations. I need to interpret what I see in a new way. That forces me to take a deeper look at all details and be very mindful of how the visible, and invisible, light shapes the landscape.

I always wanted to find a way to be inspired by my local environment. Using infrared, I'm able to change some markers to create a unique version of nature. This sparks the curiosity of the viewer.  The nature around me has never been so mesmerizing.  

"B3Y0ND" is an encouragement to reconnect ourselves to the nature around us. To look beyond what we see and be inspired by the wonders of our world.

The island "De La Harpe" was captured using a 720 nm filter. The green foliage of the trees shines under a dark blue sky. The stars were taken in visible light during the night in the Alps. The final image reveals a different perspective of a renowned location in Rolle, Switzerland.

This tree is the perfect subject to capture. Round, alone, with an beautiful view of the French mountain, just across Geneva lake. I wanted to take an infrared shot of this tree for months when I started learning this technique, but without any leaves, the results were not satisfying.

But in May 2022, this little ball of leaves has been captured at 720 nm and I couldn't think of a better image to represent what infrared is for me. With all the filters and the new possibilities for creation, I am blooming in a way that I've never felt before

I'm very fortunate to be able to spend most of my holidays in a chalet near Rougemont, Switzerland. These mountains are very close and I've been taking photos of them many times a year.

This time, the weather was cloudy, rainy, and foggy for almost two weeks, creating some very interesting atmosphere and compositions. The day I took this image was no different, except that I couldn't see the mountains for the whole day... so patience... and patience... and out of nowhere, the clouds started to split up, just enough for me to see them through, almost like they were trying to look at the sunset.

The last lights of the day, shining on the rocks, framed by the clouds, made a perfect scene to capture that was worth my patience. Without waiting any longer, I took several vertical shots thinking this image will be very special.

And it is! The result is a massive 23'388 x 6846 pixels panoramic image, composed of 24 photos, that I'll never forget!

As long as I can remember, I always loved creating… Looking to do things differently, finding new ideas, new ways of using my camera.

This collection is exactly about me… I want to capture the invisible, show the world that their is always more then what we see, there is always a story behind everyone, every wins, every struggle…

After getting my first infrared filter on March 1st 2022, I fell in love with the technique. This was resonating so strongly about what I want to achieve as an artist! I have to look beyond what I see, to reveal the invisible, to reveal another perspective, to reveal… The Otherworld.

I looked for a way for you, as a viewer, to do the same exercises. You probably noticed, but the titles have numbers instead of some letters. This is called Leet Language, and to read it, you will have to look beyond what you see!

1R 7R335 - The Otherworld

Infrared photography opened so many doors to my creativity. I wanted to create a piece to showcase a little of the possibilities and I had to do it through a dynamic NFT!

You can click on the image to change the wavelength of the image! Starting with the wavelength of 665 nm, then 850 nm, IR Chrome to end with the visible light. You can see how this beautiful local tree is changing through four different filters.

This tree is near Aclens, in Switzerland. I captured it a few times already, but never from the front. There are fields all around, so I can capture it from that angle only a couple of times a year.


// About infrared photography

Infrared light is emitted by the Sun and is reflected by all organic matter. I modified my camera by removing two pieces of glass that kept infrared light away from the sensor. With this home made full spectrum camera, i can now capture IR light, visible light and UV light. From there, I use filters to get the result that I want. 

The first images has been taken using a 665 nm filter, to get that dark blue sky and the orange-ish leaves. This filter doesn't block all visible light, but let some red to hit the sensor to get that look.

Then you have a black and white image, which is infrared light only, using a 850 nm filter. 

The third one is taken using the IR Chrome filter. That filter mimics the look of the Kodak Aerochrome, which gives this red foliage. 

The last one, you might have guessed, is taken in visible light, also with a filter to black the IR and UV light.

An exceptional atmosphere occurred as dark clouds formed above the Water Mill of Goumoen-La-Ville.

The weather was changing quickly. From rays of light piercing through the clouds to pouring rain. I only had a couple of minutes to take the shot.

Infrared photography allows me to capture the landscape using a wavelength of light beyond our visible spectrum. It creates mesmerizing contrast and/or unusual colors that serve my creativity.

Self-hosted NFT

The "Rocher Plat", or flat rock in English, is part of a small mountain range with the Rubli, Rocher à Pointe, and the Rocher Pourri. They are part of the ski station called La Videmanette, close to Rougemont in Switzerland.

I love these mountains. They are part of my life as my wife's family has a chalet very close to them. The best part is that I can see them from the balcony and have the opportunity to capture them many times and under every weather possible.

This summer was very cloudy and a lot of days were completely foggy... Not great for shooting. But sometimes, I got lucky to be able to capture some very unique moments. On the day of that photo, the clouds moved high enough to let the sun peeking through the back of the mountains and created this nice light on the forest. With the clouds hiding the top of the Rocher Plat, there is almost a mystery about what's up there and I love it!

This is the one !

This is my very first photo i ever sold as a print. I'll always remember this one as the one that open the door for me to be able to make money out of my passion.

I took the photo during my way down the Wispile Mountain, near Gstaad, in Switzerland. Beautiful day, nice weather and an interesting sky. Every ingredients for a memorable image. I immediatly saw it in black and white as it looks like a old postcard you could buy in a souvenir shop. Funny to sell a digital photo that looks like a postcard as an NFT, the gap is huge :D

It doesn't look like anything i will be minting, so make sure you don't miss it !

Three large trees stand prominently in the foreground, but their strength is muted by the dense fog that creeps in from the background.
