Throughout my years of shooting, I've had the pleasure of not only working with professional models, but with friends and family who were comfortable enough to stand in front of my lens.

Often times, the photos created from those spontaneous shoots remain special only to those present during their creation, never leaving the confines of a laptop hard drive or living room photo album.

Occasionally, they're given to the world, allowing others to share in the beauty of a moment in time which would have otherwise gone unnoticed.

Talk To Your Kids About Memes

Reporting for a photoshoot a little ahead of schedule, I found the model coming out of her building with her dog in her arms.

"Do I have time to walk him first?" she asked.

I nodded. 

She put the puppy down and began to walk, so I followed.

As we passed by the mayhem of your average, every day, Wednesday morning in Bushwick, I figured it was the perfect backdrop to squeeze off a few practice shots, so I did.

This was one of them.

Diego Alejandro Torres had faced many challenges in his 50 years of life. He had struggled in his past, but had found solace and redemption in the church. Despite his newfound sense of peace, there was a secret he hadn't shared with anyone: his lipstick.

Diego only wore it at home, in front of the mirror, but it made him feel more comfortable in his own skin. He kept it hidden from his congregation, and feared judgment and ridicule if he were to reveal this part of himself.

Despite this, Diego was an active member of his church, volunteering and helping others whenever he could. He felt a sense of guilt for keeping his secret, but he wasn't ready to share it with anyone just yet.

The church had become a sanctuary for Diego, a place where he had found acceptance and love. He was grateful for the sense of community it provided, and one he'd be able to share his full self with the people he had come to trust.

That day is today, he decided...

ShotBots are beings from a world where photographers don’t use AI to create, they are AI that create. That world is Genesis. The year is 2969.

The Monotonous. The Mundane. The Marvelous.

No Engagement.

Various editions; open and limited. Various mediums as well; photography mostly, but other forms as well, as I'm in an experimental, playful mood in my NFT career. Memes, trends and random events will also be covered. Most are free. Some are for sale. Some are for holders. Most are for everyone.

The only two constants are: they're all centered around black and white, and they're all by me.

Women from all over the world are of different nationalities, religions, professions and cultures. Each of them has their own stories to tell. Each of them has their own special qualities. To honor these women, photographer Fidel Amos and artist Malavika Reddy have collaborated to create art they believe truly expresses the qualities of these women.

The four qualities they've chosen to highlight in this series are 'Loving, Wise, Strong and Unique'. Malavika is dropping 'Loving' and 'Strong' on her Foundation page. Fidel is dropping 'Wise' and 'Unique' on his.

This piece is 'Unique'.

(A third of all total proceeds from the sale of these four pieces will go to Resurge International, an organization whose mission is to provide reconstructive surgical and build surgical capacity in developing countries. Since Fidel has worked with Resurge International in various cities in India, and Malavika is from and lives there, they feel it's the perfect cause to support.)

Foundation

Motivated by the news that I was to be accepted as one of the artists whose art would be shown on billboards in Amsterdam (May 18th-22nd, 2023), and inspired by my most recent drop (a meme for Punk6529's Seize the Memes series), my mind began to formulate a piece I believed would be perfect for the occasion. 

“Seize The ‘Dam” is not only an explorative dive into my world of mixed media, it’s also a show of my love for the city of Amsterdam. It’s a city I’ve visited over a dozen times; a place whose people, scenery and culture I truly appreciate.

Intrigued by #AI towards the end of 2022, I've been using it to bring various visions I have to fruition...visions I've not been able to create with my camera alone.
