Microcosm is the first installment of an ongoing explorational project dealing with speculative design concepts of cultured bioforms. With the rise of autonomous agriculture systems cultivating plants and livestock - what will they look like? Each Microcosm System is carefully crafted with an emphasis on the complexity of highly efficient cultured ecosystems without compromising the visual aesthetics.

The artwork is the digital version of my special edition physical print of Artificial Bloom — Cyberium Blossom. 

Artificial Bloom is an ongoing art project started in 2020, exploring the mesmerizing variety of organic structures and natural patterns. Symmetry, tessellations, and patterns within patterns - emphasizing the aesthetics of nature.

Artificial Bloom - Cyberium Blossom II

"Spring Is Coming" - is a digital reimagination of Flemish still-life oil paintings. The animated artwork captures the profusion of accurate flower depictions - each element of the intricate bouquet is minutely arranged and precisely animated, revealing the lush variety in full bloom. Though captured in this fleeting state, the flowers will soon start to wilt and brown, serving as a reminder that all things must pass.

The artwork was created in 2022 in partnership with Dalbin for the »Odyssea« group exhibition. The file resolution is 2160 x 3840px (4K UHD), 9:16 aspect ratio.

Artificial Florilegia – Act 1 is the first installment and digital re-imagination of flemish oil paintings. Inspired by the masters of the oil medium, the animated artwork captures the profusion of accurate flower depictions. 

The intricate bouquet includes a variety of white and pink synstylae roses,  pomegranate fruits, king protea, and chrysanthemum. Each element of the bouquet is minutely arranged and precisely animated, revealing the lush variety in full bloom. 

Though captured in this fleeting state, the flowers will soon start to wilt and brown, serving as a reminder that all things must pass.

Technobotanica represents the latest phase of an ongoing research project dealing with speculative design concepts of hybrid bioforms.

The Lactarilux breed - a groundbreaking fusion of mushroom and plant, shows a unique symbiotic bond with cicadas. At night, it radiates a soft, otherworldly light, creating a mesmerizing lure for its prey. Unwittingly drawn to this faint luminescence, the insects become integral actors, contributing to the pollination process before ultimately being trapped.

Technobotanica - Lactarilux

Hybrid Species is an experimental, speculative botanical art project.  
This fine art series explores the depiction of nature and the symbolic meanings of flowers across different cultures and throughout history. It’s a multilayered connection that intertwines aesthetics, symbolism, emotion, and historical context.

Floral art has continuously evolved, adapting to the shifting styles and tastes of each era. With the rise of generative AI, this evolution has entered a new phase. Through the interplay of human imagination and machine-driven innovation, the creation process of each flower design mirrors nature itself: sometimes veering off in unexpected directions, appearing random at times, while at others, following a clear path.  
In this artwork, nature is portrayed not as it is but as it could be—reimagined, reshaped, and rendered through algorithms. 

It presents a vision of flora from a parallel world, where nature is captured through a digital lens, without a mirror.
