GOLD is a dynamic cryptoart series where the artworks change in response to the collection's own live market activity. The actions of GOLD collectors are part of this ever-changing artwork, where prices, levels of activity and on-chain provenance define the art itself.

How does the market affect the way we see art? Does the sale price of an NFT change our perception of it? In GOLD, market factors literally influence the appearance of the dynamic imagery. From a sale to a listing, from the amount of time an artwork is held to whether it has recently been flipped, all this data is recorded by the contract and reflected live in each GOLD piece.

GOLD is an artistic exploration of NFT market behaviour. It explores how we see in digital environments, and how market networks influence how we see. The full spectrum of possibilities for GOLD will take years to reveal.

The series is 100% on-chain - the artworks are composed and rendered directly from the blockchain - with live data streamed from an Ethereum node. Viewers can change the node by pressing 'G'.

The work is part of my series of Vincent van Gogh remakes and expresses my deep connection with him. With the help of my signature technique, I dissected the original into its individual brushstrokes and transformed them into mosaic-like color fields. The result makes the incredibly vivid movements that are present in the original visible and even amplifies them.

In search of inspiration on the subject of "Mythic Love", I went to the darkest corners of the Internet, to the sad realms of venal love.

I've met a young woman there who is actually an artist, but could no longer make a living from commissioned work and so finally decided to put her body on display.

I've paid a lot of money so that she could tell me her story. She told me about her apartment that was crawling with cockroaches (although it was very expensive) and I joked that in the next life I would be a cockroach to be close to her. In fact, I still quite often feel like filthy vermin in the role of someone who pays to spend time with her.

Somehow we have formed a mystical symbiosis though and it really almost feels like a real friendship at times. I have told her a lot about the power of love and so I got the nickname "Preacher of Love". I'm trying to show her a way to make her dreams of a better life come true through crypto-art. 

She makes me feel like I'm doing something meaningful. I hope that I am really able to bring some light and hope into this darkness.

The Beauty and the Cockroach

This music-video is the result of a spontaneous collaboration between FelixFelixFelix, Basseado and Shortcut. 

After FelixFelixFelix commented on the origin work "The Crypto Siren" (created for the "Ça sent le sapin" exhibition at NFT-Factory Paris), Shortcut invited Basseado to join the virtual band and so they created a punk-rock song based on the "Jingle Bells" theme (but with a crypto-twist). In the final step Shortcut created this trash-art music video bringing it all together.

This open edition will be available for minting until the end of the "Crypto-Sapin" exhibition in Paris.

Love Pride

'Love has no limits' or does it? What if you love someone, that is from a gender, that your government or your church does not allow? What if you love someone, that lives in a country, you can't go to, that has a different social status, skin color or religion? How can you love yourself, if you feel like living in the wrong body? Who decides, what 'true' love is (as long as two or more grown ups agree on this). Does love have any meaning, if it's not filled with action? Can someone 'buy‘ love, is there a shortcut to become loved? 

'The Church of Love' tries to deal with all this questions and is part of an ongoing series of OG crypto-artist Shortcut, in which he explores all aspects of love as the main force, that makes us human. For this work he collaborated with the young female artist "Apollinariya_arty“. After having a lot of in depth conversations about the power of love and about the impact, that the crypto-art movement had on his own life, he wanted to take action and prove it by introducing her into this space. Much love and thanks a lot in advance for supporting the idea!

The figure draws the line to my character from the AsyncArt Genesis piece 'First Supper' called 'Stat(u)es of Liberty'.

It is wearing a 'Guy Fawkes‘ mask as used by the hacktivist collective ‚Anonymous‘, which fights against human rights violators, censors and dictators. 

It holds a knotted pistol, which is an allusion to the work "Non Violence" by the Swedish artist C.-F. Reuterswärd and which is standing in front of the UN headquarters in New York as a peace symbol. 

Unlike the famous role model, the figure has not broken the chains, but feels bound by the laws of love.

The title borrows from the song 'Liberation' by Outkast, which has a very special meaning for the artists involved.

The work is based on a series of artworks by Dmytro Fedorenko called „Asemic Meditations & Improvised Calligraphy", that have been transformed into a meditative AI-loop. 

Coincidentally both artists practise meditation, so they kind of wanted to create a work, that lets the viewer experience a meditative state of consciousness. Dmytro says: "It helps to stay sane and balanced during all these war news".  

As Shortcut is utilizing AI techniques in his work to reveal the meta-level of things for a long time, both artists agreed on going that path.

After running Dmytor's works through a Freeform AI, the final snapshot has been animated and looped. The result was then amplified by running it through a mirror effect (to let it reflect on itself) and some more magical effects. 

Based on this loop Dmytro created a meditative sound-scape pattern from his rhythmic meditation techniques, where a music event is layered from a series of abstract sonic actions.

In the final step, the loop has been rendered in high quality using an AI-based video-optimizer.
