This is a Retro-Futuristic Sci Fi digital painting and animation. I was always attracted by sci Fi art from comic books specially from the 70s.  I decided to give it a try and dive into this series without much thought of an specific concept rather more to whatever came spontaneously. This will be the genesis of this new body of work. Owner may request the uncompressed file which makes the piece look a lot more crisp.  

As I continue to tell this story, all the dots will be connecting as we go. Sit tight and enjoy the ride with me. This piece represents power. The tower is flashing with a message individually for the person who owns the piece. Yours to decide and yours to hide.

“The Wānaka Tree” it’s a beautiful willow tree located in New Zealand’s South Island at the end of lake Wānaka in the Otago region.  I shot this during a trip to New Zealand in the winter of 2019 on the early hours of the morning. Although it was freezing you have to get in the water to get this particular shot but I was determined. Sadly at some point in 2020 someone vandalized the tree cutting one the lower end iconic branches.

The power of music is an undeniable force that has the ability to touch our hearts, uplift our spirits, and transcend language and cultural barriers.

Ever since my mother introduced me to "The Beatles" when I was kid in a country where rock and roll wasn’t readily available, my life changed completely. As soon as I heard the album Sgt. Pepper; It was a melodic bliss that opened up a whole new world for me. It influenced me so deeply I still go back to it for reference in many aspects of my life.

This piece reflects my journey through different art mediums.  From music, to photography and more often now, illustration; all my explorations came together to make the art and the artist I am today. 

The process for the piece started with a mental sketch and using Ai for exploration as a reference tool.  I gathered many ideas to make this piece come to life as a fully digital painting using Procreate to paint, Photoshop to tweak & Lightroom for final color processing. 

“Melodic Bliss” is a new approach and I cannot wait to explore more of this new art venture. Listen to your favorite tune while observing this piece.

I’ve been very lucky to travel around the world and while doing so I’ve documented culture, landscapes, wildlife, architecture and everything in between. This particular shot was during a visit to the incredibly beautiful country of New Zealand in the outskirts of Queenstown. It was a magical sunset to say the least but the large lake and the mountains in the background made for a jaw dropping view; it felt surreal. I shot this with a 70-200mm lens which is not often used for landscape but I love the compression it gives for these kinds of shots.

This look narrow but I can assure you... there’s nothing narrow about this place, in fact, it is massive. 

In the beginning of October of 2021 in a decision that took a split of a second, I booked flights for my girlfriend and I to go get marry in Vegas and take a road trip in the desert.  

Once done in Vegas we hit the road and passed through Zion National Park in the south of Utah where we hiked a few hours, but our final destination was Bryce Canyon and by the time we got to Bryce it was dark, therefore we couldn’t see the landscape around us; we weren’t prepare for the beauty that awaited us.  The next morning on a 20 degrees Fahrenheit cold day we decided to go hike around the canyon and to our surprise, there were far more hikers than we expected.  

I took this shot while on a trail that was icy and cold and that literally left us out of breath, not only by the steep hills but also by its beauty. Note the person in the picture to get an idea of scale of the red walls of Bryce. 

As an artist I tent to use my photography to create otherworldly places, Bryce is exactly that as is, but I always add certain touches to my pieces to create the desired mood to express my vision. With this piece I wanted to create an atmosphere of another planet. 

This piece is special for many reasons, specially since the decision of going there was done spontaneously.  The hike to get there was a bit slippery because of the ice on the ground which made it a little difficult but well worth the hike to see the Navajo Queens garden.

This piece is a blend of sci-fi, cyberpunk and mystical symbolism. The humanoid figure is glowing with vibrant red and blue hues in a meditative state, with eyes closed and an intense red aura enveloping their face and upper body. The glowing red orb held in their hands, is hovering in motion symbolizing energy & power, and is complemented by a blue triangular motif with a circle in the chest area that lights up as two blue orbs travel and enter the center of it all. The goal with this piece of art is to capture both serenity and intensity, inviting the viewer to reflect on themes of energy, balance, and inner strength.

All original work made from scratch using Procreate and animated in Adobe After Effects. 2025
