“Later in my studies, I realized I don't really need to talk with people in order to communicate- those who already wish will understand me. That's why I created my own visual language. A form of another blank alphabet - no rules - no data - a complete freedom to symbols and thoughts.” - PIA

As a part of her 'Alphabet Project,' Pia explores the captivating series of female figures, each representing a unique letter infused to her art with time. This marks the birth of her first letter in the sculpture series that promises to redefine her artistic language. Collaborating with the talented artist Melih Yavuz, P1A brings her symbols to life through 3D modelling and printing followed by special paints that give the matte texture. Witness the dance of creativity and symbolism as P1A's figures evolve into symbols and transform into letters, inviting you to explore the intersection of art and the alphabet.

The Alphabet № I

In this study, I looked deeper into the creations of Refik and the concept of Unsupervised, which is a type of machine learning where the algorithm is given unlabeled data and tasked with finding patterns, relationships, or structures within that data without explicit guidance. It allows serendipity to take over as the algorithm discovers inherent structures and representations in the data without predefined labels or categories. I find this very inspirational, almost similar to my Alphabet concept where I aim to redefine the words and letters and what they stand for. Rafik does a similar redefinition by deconstructing a whole visual dataset to reconstruct. The organic and inorganic elements of data collaborating with unsupervised machine learning motivated me to craft a study concept to seamlessly blend the essence of unsupervised learning with a keen understanding of the visual data generated by machines, merging and appearing in my own visual language and elements.

By diving into Anadol's visual data realm, I aimed to capture the essence of the unexpected outcomes of serendipity, allowing the reconstructed data and my lines to merge with each other.

Study of Peppetry

A study was done by P1A inspired by Matt Furie's famous character Pepe and its first appearance in "The Boys" comic, interpreted with discipline as a puppeteer! Painted for the culture...enjoy!

A terminal native visual piece created with a custom .ttf font based on my own choreographic and gestural drawings. The glyphs are generated using Python scripts that convert movement-based forms into type. Instead of letters, it’s a body-coded system — a visual language built from motion, not words.

PURUS

A single composition rendered in defiant glyphs, not letters or symbols  but a custom alphabet born from dance, the body, and rebellion. It’s an anti-thesis to modern communication: no language, only form and action... A ritual of seeing beyond words. Back to the body, back to movement, back to meaning and to mind.
