Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by patches of depigmented or colorless skin. Its cause is unknown, but it may be related to immune system changes, genetic factors, stress, or sun exposure. The word “Vitiligo” comes from Latin “vitium” which means "vice", "defect", «blemish», "flaw". The visible transformation brought about by this condition can significantly impact an individual's emotional and psychological well-being. The journey toward accepting these changes can be hard, often leaving one feeling less confident and vulnerable.

Through this series, I aim to encourage viewers to reflect on their own personal journeys of self-acceptance. By acknowledging and embracing our flaws and imperfections, we can truly appreciate the beauty and diversity that exists within ourselves and in the world around us.
