I couldn't get the A.I to truly feel my imperfections, my frail love for myself that withers with age. But it could comprehend a messy bath, already sunk in depression and self loathing subconscious reflections I added an extra layer ontop of the midjourney piece. One of messy nature that always wants cleaning up, the missing touch, the human touch.

I had a dream of 2039, London is nothing but a desert... the heat is too much to handle and all that's left to use is tech to find a way back. It will be surreal, isolated and hard to distinguish what is real and which direction to take. Remember to armour up and always have your own port/entires.

This is what happens when you mix Crypto Punks & Script Breakers using AI. Like a virus, they become degenerative and almost ill.

I managed to make a living for so long from cryptoart, between 2018 - 2025 I almost got a Job several times but managed to grind my way through and with astonishing help from fellow artists and collectors i could continue my dream.

The downside was building for a long time, unmanageable tax debts, student finance, living costs all whilst the market of cryptoart continued to spiral downward for 2 years straight. Seeing others who didn't work as hard, didn't commit undeniable loyalty like myself to the space get saved whilst I drown made me want to give up and tbh part of me did... I gave in and got a job stacking shelves at Tesco only 2 months ago. This made everything worse in many ways because without art I'm basically dead inside, sure I didn't have to sit in the shadows of lesser artists that were fake smiling at everyone but I didn't have my art and losing that is a far greater pain than drowning in finances and fakers shadows. 

But it's not all about what I want, the community expressed how much they want my art to continue and ofc I want the same thing.  If I didn't believe in this I wouldn't be making this letter. So this is your opportunity to show me you want me to give it my all. That I'm worth full time nurturing of my art and continue to express how I do.

If all 100 editions get scooped I will hand in this letter at Tesco and go back to art full time. Any less I will see as not enough because 7 years in the space, the scale of collectors is broad enough to answer the doubt and define a career worth defining. If you want me here,  grab a letter if not, that's ok I won't fight you just art elsewhere.

This is the pier/port I frequently walked to when taking a break from art. I would sit for hours trying to piece together my thoughts, in reality these thoughts were probably the problem but in my reality they were the line between death and life and the only place I can find creation. 

I realized sometimes you must go down even further to go up.

This is an integral part of my cryptoart journey and history as an artist. Without this moment I would not be here. 

Port Zero - Go Below

I shower and ponder on the fact of my ignorance.

I strive with subconscious programming of icons quotes of the past. Teddy Roosevelt, Socrates through the bear market, alone, burning in self thought and fight of the hero's journey. I fantasize about conquering this battle, I will stand regardless of everything around me, until the margins of measure are in my favor. 

These quotes kept me going through the two and half years of battling 6 figure tax debts, bankruptcy, isolation and illness all during a bear market stuck in a foreign country.

This piece has mix-media elements, some AI, some real life photo's of the bathroom I pondered in, the sink, tub, walls and exit stairway back of the apartment building. I no-longer live there, this only exists in my subconscious as a moment of desperation and resilience, an integral part of my cryptoart journey and if it wasn't for moments like this I wouldn't still be here.
