The 1980's and 1990's as an iterative dream, computer-aided RAD designs. Essentially, an expanded iterative Memphis/Neo-Memphis style project meant to emulate the free-flowing and fun spirit of the movement in tight compositions that surprise with each combination and position generation.

The Sega Sibyl is a fictional console that streams 90’s aesthetic to me in prophecies. This genesis piece on Foundation has a cartridge inserted, Kate the Cursed’s M3MPH1S gan project. What happens when these two forces of a bygone era revive it for new designs? If it feels like the 90’s, only more 90’s than the 90’s - you’re getting the vibe. This is a whole box of trapper keepers melted down and poured like neon fire into one new one - a magic console running an artificially 90’s intelligence.

Lazlito - a diminutive version of works by the late Lazlo Lissitsky, synthetic artist and designer of print materials circa 1919-1999.   Entirely a work of fiction from sgt_slaughtermelon.

The Moniac Mod Archives are automated designs, printed by an unknown spy who had access to the Moniac analogue computer in the 1960s and used it to infiltrate the mod scene. These are the hand-numbered archives of those prints, only now released from storage by MI6.

empty_place_fragments are sorted "wrecked" textures in geometry. The other working title of this series was "close_your_eyes_until_you_see_something" - and the entire series is meant to make you think of sensory deprivation hallucinations, of feeling connected to wild glowing colors and shapes and corruptions that only exist because your mind expressed them for you. What are those sensory illusions? Are they less real than other things you see? Why do empty places seem to create something wild.

Remind yourself that there's nothing for it to take from you and that's a kind of freedom. 

I can let the pile grow and unless they arrest me, what can they do, right? What kind of punishment can they possibly mete out that is worse than the anxiety of taking them seriously?

It's the lingering dread engine of any scatterbrained adult. A small pile that grows and gets pruned and always reminds you that there's probably something you forgot, or probably someone you owe money. I hate that thing but I have to respect it, to serve it, to let it rule my life in some ways. "O god, the mail." Textures and elements are a mix of found and created, blended with things from long ago and things from recent.

Originally a series on Known Origin and then Hic Et Nunc, now migrated to this manifold creator contract.

Cyborg Warhol is an alternate dimensional Andy Warhol who lived on into the 21st century and augmented his body to be able to produce patterns at will - reminiscent of his work with the AMIGA. This is actually a Processing sketch sgt_slaughtermelon wrote. 

In this series, Cyborg Warhol learns about vaporwave aesthetics, and uses his abilities to make some a e s t h e t i c compositions with dithering patterns to delight the eyeballs.

These are the now-released designs of a soviet spy trying to infiltrate the London mod scene in the 1960s. Using the Moniac analogue computer, the spy created these designs as an excuse to study how the machine was being used for encryption by MI6 before he was captured. These designs are only slowly being released to the public after being in storage during the cold war.

El Lissitzky described artists like Kandinsky as creating a "pure subjective portrayal of their emotions by means of color combinations" - momentary states of the soul captured in intuitive compositions. In crypto, when a state of the chain is captured we call it a "snapshot" - so this is a fun combination of the idea of that movement with a reference to the medium where it is being stored.

Discovered in the Khardzhiev archives at the Stedelijk, these previously unseen works by the obscure Suprematist artist Sargei Slaughtermelovich were considered lost. Recently removed from storage, these designs are available to the public for the first time.

Utterly derivative designs from a movement in history, these are meant to evoke and explore the peculiar visual grammar of a collection of artists who imagined their language was universal. Maybe it was - and maybe these designs can still thrill and excite today. Whatever the case, the compositions of the late Sargei Slaughtermelovich are finally being brought to light.
