An ornamental architecture concept inspired by ancient mythology, epic stage design and biomimicry. Hand sculpted in VR during Edge City Lanna in October 2024. Designed specifically for display in mixed reality on the Mona platform and showcased at Devcon 2024 in Bangkok.

Naga

The first in a collection of unique sculptures and artefacts designed for the VR environments of the future. Looking somewhat like the opposite of a dreamcatcher, the Moongate’s primary purpose is to act as a portal through to an as yet unknown destination out in the metaverse. Thought to act as a two way transportation device with the capability to spit out alien anomalies at any time, it hangs on the wall with your art collection and waits patiently for a time when it can awaken. Its curious design, hand sculpted by conduit Metageist in Virtual Reality, uses universal design principles, classical ornate decorative elements and animalistic features designed to elicit an instinctive fear response, making it ever more attractive to those individuals with an enquiring mind and a thirst for bewilderment. As is often the case with my artwork this installation piece is designed more for the metaverse of the future, but can be displayed and interacted with in the current one. Hand sculpted using Virtual Reality art tools and inspired by insects this audible sculpture uses a trichobothria aerial system to detect airborne vibrations, data and the electrical charge of the aether. The input data is then passed through the carapace and converted into audible frequencies for human interpretation. I’m imagining a metaverse governed by an advanced AI and the tools we could use to access and interpret it’s dreams. Standing under and placing your head within the sphere can relay an ever changing dynamically generated composition. The song of the metaverse. - - -   Claiming this NFT allows the buyer access to the Aeth Hopper model and two bespoke audio soundscapes, written by Sigil. These files can then be placed together in a VR environment to form your own interactive audio/visual art installation.
