In the deep shadows, she stands firm,
Jaguars by her side, one close, one watching.
A kiss on her neck, a piercing stare,
She faces them all with calm resolve.

The serpent coils around her arm,
Its slow journey towards her face,
Yet her eyes remain steady,
Reflecting strength amidst the chaos.

Whispers of distractions surround her,
Temptations and trials in every breath,
But her gaze does not waver.

Distractions

A serene woman immersed in the water as hands emerge, reaching out to touch her. These hands symbolize the influences, pressures, and challenges that life presents.

However, amidst the chaotic grasp, a striking moment of liberation materializes – a pure, white dove breaks free from the woman's hand, soaring into the open air. This represents resilience, freedom, and the transformative power of releasing oneself from the constraints of external forces and having the awareness that our souls can never be held captive.

Free Soul

Internal thoughts while creating this:
I’ve come to the realization that my limiting beliefs  &  self imposed limitations create a struggle between my innate strength & the restrictions I place on myself to reach my full potential (the paradox).  Maybe I can finally let that “bird  soar”.

Symbology:
The bear head and the woman's deep gaze represents strength that is innate. The flowers and mushrooms bursting from behind is showing all the potential and beauty ready to be shown but is carefully being guarded and kept back by the woman.  The bird hanging from the hand while tied up shows how only she is in control of letting herself free to soar and show her true self.

The Deer Woman, a fusion of earth and sky with her antlers soaring high. Deer Woman

For this piece I chose to use an octopus because of it’s ability to adjust and handle any situation, no matter how challenging or threatening. The octopus tentacles represent life’s complexity and how we can’t always control it in our own lives. The woman represents strength and an unbothered mood, which shows her resilience to anything being thrown her way.

Resilience

In this digital painting I have paired the female figure with a snake, which historically represents fertility or a creative life force. The Snake sheds its skin, the same way we shed different parts of ourselves throughout our lives. This painting symbolizes having the strength to go through that “shedding” process and having a rebirth or transformation.
