Inspired by x-rays, by breaking the natural flow of the doodles the work tries to emphasise the structural elements of the doodles and scribbles.

log explores randomness by generating a new output everyday. Each of the 3 tokens generates it's own unique output, but the tokens can be connected into a dip- or triptych.

Every Fold generates 4 control points on the x-axis, we then curve these using the Chaikin curve algorithm increasing the amount of vertexes at each iteration.

Each fold then generates hotspots between iteration 4-6 and pulls all the vertexes within the radius of these hotspots to the center before finishing the final iterations.

Hextory is a series of tokens that reflect their on-chain activity. Inspired by the early commentary from people like Bruce Alan Martin and Ronald O. Whitaker about the language of hexadecimal values, hextory explores a translation into a 4-bit visual representation of the token's history.

Each of the tokens is attached to a specific color scheme, using relative values within the hexadecimal string as the source to give specific attributes to each character within the string. The color attribute is only visible for the rows of history generated by the current wallet owner, reflecting both it's history and ownership in a visual output.

From the natural undulations of sediment in the earth's crust to the human act of origami, folds wield significant structural and organizational power. Yet, they can also dramatically distort and redefine the shape and direction of the structures they form on the canvas.

Built on a foundation of thousands of physical renditions of common computer symbols, Encore embraces repetition -- in the physical creation of the foundational symbols, in the process of overwriting as each new layer is applied, and as a way to focus on the true unbiased state of each work.

The outputs of Encore are meant to translate the physical process of making these marks into a fully digital form, embracing digital methods to replicate a physical process while maintaining a computer-art aesthetic.

*For the last year, I’ve spent countless hours watching my printer draw my work line-by-line, applying ink while constantly resisting the urge to pull the paper and change the spacing between each line drawn.*

Piezo *is inspired by this urge: what if we draw line-by-line like a printer but change the spacing between each drawn line? The movement only happens on the x-axis, where each grid item within a recursive grid gets its own “printhead” to draw. We then put the x-axis coordinates through a sine function, so it moves in both the positive and the negative directions of the grid block.*

*By appointing a separate drawing speed to each grid item, the colors of each grid block are mixed together during the drawing to create gradients and combinations of colors.*

For the last year, rudxane has spent countless hours watching printer’s draw his work line-by-line, the act of applying ink, constantly resisting the urge to pull the paper and change the spacing between each line drawn.

Piezo is inspired by this urge: what if we draw line-by-line (like a printer), but change the spacing between each drawn line? All works within the series were curated to exude their own energy, recognizable from each other, while also adding a new particular perspective to the series as a whole.

Revealing the data that drives the artwork, as part of the artwork itself, is a unique approach to algorithmic art that is reductive and pure – yet simultaneously vast and overwhelming. Here, the generative process produces infinite visual tables that evoke the ever-rising power of the spreadsheet, and the endless datafication of our world. Both operationally and visually inspired by large table-based datasets that are designed to simplify complex systems, Sheets instead amplifies its own complexity. 

Using the vernacular of spreadsheet interfaces, early computing displays, and the specification diagrams for printed circuit boards, these works repurpose functional calculations to provoke more than it solves – creating intricate and illegible compositions that remind us of the unknowable logic shaping our world. Like nature, and reality itself, the resulting pile of maths in this series are perhaps best accepted and admired for their beauty and sense of logic, rather than continuously dissected and understood in full.   

In response to each individual’s perception of beauty and order, collectors of these generative artworks will choose their own unique output from the artist’s core algorithm – six of which will be pre-selected by the artist and translated into special engraved metal plate works.
