The wind is picking up...
The relentless gusts unload their explosive charges like bombs. The noise is deafening. Every gust makes me list and shiver when the wind hits me. They don’t come head on. They strike from the side like Thor’s hammer. The lightning show is spectacular, for unbroken moments at a time it is bright.
I doubt that I will be able to survive twice this. How much more can I take? How much longer will it last? My headsail comes loose. Slapping in the wind it bangs like machine gun fire.
And ironically now, at the peak of the storm, I calm down. I understand the eye already passed us, it will be over soon. The worst lays behind me.
I have made it! I live!"

Huracán

There’s something about the way the sky sets itself on fire before the world wakes up. Like it needs to break apart before it can start over. Like it has to burn through every shade of itself just to remember how to be whole again.

Maybe that’s what mornings are, proof that endings can look like beginnings. That sometimes, you have to fall apart before you find your way back.

Or maybe it’s just the sky, doing what it’s always done, without waiting for anyone to notice.

A line I have built my life on, in more ways than one, and a concept I find myself living according to over and over again. I’ve found something I believe in so much that I’m dedicating my life to it, because I believe that this is what I came here to do. I’m learning how to walk, how to see...

I’d rather burn up in flames than fade away.  "It’s the storm that I believe in. It’s so hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness." You must take one step in front of the other and keep walking. Even though your muscles strain. Even though your heart aches. Even if you are full of scratches and broken, you must keep going. To grow. To learn. To be. This might mean being broken most of the time, but the reward is greater. The reward is freedom.

I’m not sure about a lot of things, but of this I am sure; until the day I die, I will live. Living recklessly will mean fear or anger, sadness or pain; but I will not let it stop me. At this moment, I am broken but I will move forward because I know for a fact that there are far more beautiful and magnificent feelings and experiences in this world, than there are dark ones, and I know for a fact that we have no other mission in this life than to be as great as we possibly can be. And there is no limit for this. We can be far more unique than we want to believe, because crossing that line to step over to extraordinary means pushing through fear. Facing fear and uncomfort, uncertainty and instability. Being a person who pushes herself to her own limits means being a person who is constantly faced with some kind of fear. May it be mental or physical, You are facing fear, every single day, by doing something your mind or body never did before. But by overcoming that fear you take one step higher on the ladder, and the goal is to take those steps every single day.  
The higher you get, the higher the fall will be,  
the bigger the fear of falling, the more magnificently breathtaking the view will be.

Live or Die

On one of the trips my sister and I make, we went to visit the Rio Mundo in Albacete, Spain. After walking several kms through the mountains we reached our destination, the waterfall. The image suggest to me how easily and quickly people fall into their own personal hell and then, flow from a pure and energetic way by tackling whatever fate may bring us. Every day is a challenge and we, as humans, accept it.

In "Resurrection", I explore the complexities of life, death, and beauty through an image that defies norms and awakens deep emotions.

Emerging from a mysterious mist, a solitary figure appears. Her eyes serenely sealed. She stands in the midst of a deep crimson hue, in a state that seems suspended between life and death.

Her dress, a vivid red, like the blood that flows from her heart, symbolizing both life and death. In the intricate process of change, every aspect of her being comes together with precision and purpose, as if the universe itself is crafting a unique tapestry for each individual. Her core essence becomes the guiding force in this creation, with each experience, emotion, and thought woven into the fabric.

As light from within flows through, the red fabric takes shape, delicate yet profoundly simple. It becomes an extension of herself, a tangible representation of her rebirth.

Every fold and stitch carries a story, every shade and nuance reflects an experience. It symbolizes the new life that awaits, an armor of confidence she'll carry on her journey toward a new beginning. 

With hands stained by the essence of life, she holds an unsolved mystery, her very existence painted with secrets. Enveloped by a swirling veil of mist, she seems to exist in the uncertain space between life and oblivion.

Resurrection

I'm wet. I'm cold. My bruises hurt. My scrapes burn. As I get closer to the beach, I feel the waves building up. The swell hits the seabed, the waves get higher. They break. Not good! The waves begin to lift me and, shortly, I begin to break. I approach the beach with dizzying speed. It's a steep beach, it must be low tide. They try to slow me down and the wave makes a hissing sound like it's laughing at me. In fact, I feel like I'd take off and fly if it were a little faster. And I think I feel what surfers experience by running through the waves at incredible speed. I think I won't survive the impact. But right now I had no options. The impact is brutal. When I hit the beach I stop suddenly. That hurts. They pull me trying to get me out of the waves. But the next wave fills me with at least a quarter of a ton of water and they leave me there. I'm no longer useful. I am left defeated, lonely, abandoned.

I am alive in this moment of eternal stillness, while I move, feel and think. I can only know myself in this timeless moment, within life in constant movement. The stillness is here: the backdrop and the foreground, and the artist inside me.

When you reach the Cabo de Gata lighthouse and see the impressive environment that surrounds it, you get stuck forever.
Sunsets at this place are always magical. It shows the end of the journey and it can be so fascinating. It feels like everything paused for a moment and colours are flying in the sky just to paint the world.

Gaia's Daughters

The darkness, disguised as red cotton, wraps around me like a cold sheet. I feel its weight on my shoulders, its pressure on my chest. I'm tired, so tired. I've been fighting against it for a long time, but now it seems like it's winning.

I look down at my hands. They're covered in white smoke, a faint light trying to break through the darkness. It's the last bit of hope I have.

I know I can beat the darkness. I know I can find the light. But I don't know how.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I feel the white smoke in my lungs, like a warm touch. It's the strength that gives me hope.

I raise my hand to my chest, protecting my soul. It's my source of light, the last thing I have.

But the darkness doesn't give up. The clouds of red cotton come closer, getting hotter, angrier, wanting to consume me.

I'm not going to give up. I'll keep fighting against the darkness until the end.

The Last Bit of Hope

Crimson Nebulae

There is something eternally hypnotic about the sea: the endless rhythm of waves that never seem to stop breathing, as if the ocean itself had a heart that beat in time with the universe. "Surge Eterna" is a tribute to that timeless motion.

I was in the Cabo de Gata Natural Park where I saw a wave that caught the light of the setting sun just right, reflecting hues of gold and dark indigo, while foam burst at the crest, a transient sculpture of pure white. For a moment, it seemed as though time stretched out infinitely, the wave caught in a perfect moment before surrendering itself back to the sea. This single moment encapsulated an eternal truth: that all things flow and return, that there is beauty in the eternal movement of life that we often overlook. Each wave, just like each moment of our lives, is both unique and fleeting, but also part of something much greater, an infinite cycle that doesn't need an ending to have meaning.

As I looked at "Surge Eterna" again, I was reminded that the ocean doesn't rest, doesn't tire, doesn't pause. It keeps surging forward, no matter what, a reminder for all of us to keep going, to flow despite obstacles, to find beauty even in moments that seem repetitive.

This piece is an invitation to feel that endless movement, to recognize that we are part of that same energy, and that even when we falter, we are still connected, still part of that eternal surge.
