Bardez is the Armenian word for garden. It is etymologically tied to an ancient word for paradise, but that link goes deeper than etymology. Gardens have always been small pieces of paradise for me, and hearing the word in Armenian triggers a flood of warm memories.

Memories of wandering around my grandfather’s garden, plucking ripe plums and figs from their branches.
Memories of playing in my parents yard, the scent of jasmine in the summer heat.
Of sun warmed tomatoes in my mom’s vegetable patch.
The smell of dirt and grass.
Mud on my hands.
Sun on my skin.
Memories of paradise.

I hope you enjoy these gardens I’ve planted, and I hope they remind you of some warm and wonderful memories.

Notes:
 - This piece uses a shader to compute the lighting of the terrain in the first frame. If you don’t have a graphics card, you may have difficulty running this.

 - Append “&mag=N” to the end of the URL in live mode to specify a resolution multiplier. It will render the image N times larger than the size of your window. If you have specified anything greater than 1, a download will start automatically once the rendering is done. The maximum resolution seems to be limited by what your web browser allows. I have been able to output up to 11140px tall and wide using Firefox, which should be enough detail for prints up to 37x37 inches. I recommend keeping the console open while attempting larger renders. It will show you the progress of the render, and also show you if you have attempted too large a render for your system. N can be any positive whole or decimal number greater than or equal to 1.

I Dream of a Day With a Neverending You

I have a senior at college whose family owns a flower/succulent garden, like a legit commercial garden where you visit and buy some of the plants. He likes to make things and do outdoor stuff too. At one time when we were camping, he lend me his knife, a folding one, and after I finished using it I got confused because I didn't know how to fold it back. He took it and fold it very easily but because I was still curious I ask him to open it again and let me figure it out. It was puzzling, there's no button or something like that, and my past experience with Victorinox folding toolset wasn't helping at all too. I'm too high on my horse to ask him how actually to fold it and spent the entire 10 minutes fiddling with it, to no avail. I ended up asking for the cheat code and feel stupid about it. You can fold it by pressing the jagged piece in the thumb area to the other side, which will unlock the blade so it can be folded. Fascinated by the mechanism, I pick up one too when visiting Eiger. Can't go wrong when it was 50% discounted and ended up for only 60k Rupiah. This is my galon opener by the way, mostly.

My daily wallet, been using this since 2018. Yes, it is made from paper, Tyvek paper to be exact, the absurd paper that can't get wet and can't be ripped. I always hate wallet by the way, it adds unnecessary bulge in your pants because of the materials used. I can live throwing my money in my pockets but unfortunately, we still need to bring cards (too many, sadly) when going outside.
