Sometimes it feels like going through small canals. You travel round and round, and you never really get anywhere. You feel like you just keep going in circles. 

You start to wonder why you're even doing it. But you keep going, because you don't really have a choice.

Day by day the canals seem to be getting narrower, and the water colder and darker. You can't help but feel like you're being squeezed in, like the canals are closing in around you.

One day, you paddle around a bend and see a huge iron gate blocking your path. There's a sign on the gate, but you can't read it from here. You paddle closer and see that the sign says "No Entry."

You're trapped. You can't go back, not here, not now.
You take a deep breath and push forward. The gate opens with a creak, and you paddle into the darkness beyond. 
You can't see anything, but you can feel the current pulling you forward. There's no turning back now. 
You can only go forward, into the unknown.

At times, I am consumed by an intense fear that I will fall short of the expectations others have of me, that my plans will go awry, or that I will disappoint those whom I love the most. It is a fear rooted in the belief that I am not enough and that I will never measure up. But then, a wise soul once shared with me that this fear may stem from a deep desire for control and perfection in a world that is inherently imperfect and unpredictable.

The truth is, accepting imperfection can lead to a profound understanding of ourselves and the world we inhabit. When we embrace our flaws, we cultivate empathy, compassion, and beauty within the complexities of life. The fear of imperfection can transform into a journey of self-discovery and a celebration of the rich, multifaceted human experience.

Despite understanding this, it remains a daunting task that's easier said than done. It's like trying to swim against a strong current. Those are all just words, idealistic theories, things that I know I should be doing, and feeling. But it's very hard to do.

All this time, there have been a few souls by my side and around me, caressing me, placing their chin on my shoulder, and softly whispering in my ear, 'You're so great, you're loved, I want you'.

But what I really need is to find a voice inside my self.
A voice that whispers, 
"You are enough, your worth is not tied to others' love."

This city here, is very lively. The streets crowded with people. I hear the sound of traffic, the honking of horns, the chatter of voices. I feet lost and insignificant, a small speck in a vast sea of colors. I just keep walking home. But in this city, I don't know where home is. 
I stop, leaning against a building, trying to catch my breath, I think about it. 
I know now, that I'm not alone. There are other people out there, feeling the same. 
Take a deep breath and start walking again. Don't know where I'm going, but at least I know, I'm not alone.
