Before I made the artwork, I thought about you, the current owner of this artwork, and I wrote this text for you. I imagined you. I imagined you looking at a screen and reading this. I imagined you either getting annoyed by or finding amusement in reading this.

You can not imagine how much I appreciated you becoming the owner of this artwork, while I was writing this text for you before I even made this artwork.

The Gift

“Between starshine and clay” addresses the notion of utopia and longing. Of maximum feels at the club. Of feeling shiny among, and despite, the grime. The promise and the experience... simultaneous manifest.

From out of the aether… a voice emerges. Its vibrations electronifies dark matter. Its harmonic visible form is spawned within the low-end of spectral color. The language it speaks is ancient, universal, synesthetic. ExtenDoughBoi is born.

Part 1 of the 4 part ExtenDoughBoi saga, an AV collaboration between Lunice and Tyson Parks created in 2021.
