The sun plays an important role in Iranian architecture and natural light plays a significant role in visual perception which is why the artwork's title is 'Hur'.
Architecture provides a context for human life and to convey the essence of it, I used architectural design as the background to create an artwork that merges an Ethiopian woman's portrait with Iranian architecture.
I incorporated traditional geometric patterns from Ethiopia and the complex geometry of the fine muqarnas into my design.

Once upon a time, when life was worth living,  
The moon was on our side, 
Love was all we knew, 
And all I knew was you. 
And when the music began to play  
And when the words are touched with sorrow,  
I hear the sound I had to follow,  
To leave this mess behind.  
And somehow, once upon a time,  
Never comes again.

Like waves to the shore,

A symphony composed at night
From solitude, is born the light
Almost the highest bliss of human-kind

Travel to the haven within your soul
Walk into yourself
Get wet in the beautiful rain
Run after the flowers of your garden

A haven for the soul, beneath a weeping sky
No need for words, just quietude..
