This place has a very deep meaning in my heart, it’s where I got the chance to start growing my love for photography. 
I got to meet with so many amazing talented photographers who helped me get inspired, and to capture those incredible places that are disappearing at an alarming rate, keeping a time capsule for everyone to enjoy. 

It is my Christmas gift for everyone, friends, collectors, fellow artists to thank you for making the space so amazing and interesting. 

Don’t hesitate to take as much as you can, it might get utility in the future for a burn mechanism maybe…

Let The Light Sink In

Reinhold Messner famously said, "The mountains are not stadiums where I satisfy my ambition to achieve, they are the cathedrals where I practice my religion." 

The act of climbing and exploring the mountains is a deeply meaningful and spiritual experience. The mountains themselves are like grand cathedrals. Here we can connect with something greater than ourselves. With the ability to capture photos, we can make a time capsule of it, and it will live on forever.

Looking at the images later on, I can still feel the wind on my skin, watch the clouds flying, and see the snow glittering like a billion stars. 

It was my personal window into heaven. And, now, everyone all over the world can take a sneak peek.

Stairway To Heaven

I always had so much fun taking photographers and creative people to the ice cave in Iceland. It takes the sharing experience to the next level, recommending different compositions, places, and angles while ensuring everyone's safety.  
The deepest part of the caves is always where you can find the boundaries between light and darkness. It is where I found the most joy in creating.

Dark Ice

Top down drone shot of a river in a Fjord North of Iceland located on the Artic Circle in Olafsfjordur.  This river is a salmon sanctuary, own privately by the farmers of the area. It's a paradise for anglers but you need to ask permission from the farmers to come and fish here.

Nordic Fishing Dream

Climbing higher and higher, the reward is the breathtaking view of the landscape around you. The snow-capped mountains stretch before you. Their curves and lines are etched into the landscape like the pages of a book. 

The untouched snow beneath your feet is a dream come true, especially for any backcountry skier. You may be the sole person to ski these slopes this year. This private knowledge adds to the magic of the experience. 

These Icelandic backcountry landscapes are a beautiful gift, not to be taken for granted. As you make your way closer to the summit, you can't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to explore them.

Pure

Chaos for you doesn’t necessarily mean the same for others, whether it’s in your home, life or relationship. Chaos can be overwhelming but also utterly beautiful if we try not to control it too much. 
Glaciers are chaotic in many ways, they are structured chaos. Glacier are formed and shaped the way they are for a reason and they are disappearing for a reason. 
When we watch the glacier, the chaos can feel unstructured and hard to understand, but every little detail has its own reason and story. 
Little snowflake that landed on Iceland largest glacier, that flake is now part of one of Iceland largest outlet glacier. Breiðamerkurjökull, soon to be a water molecule in Jökulsárlón and then the Atlantic Ocean. 
Talk about chaotic life to live. 
The beauty of the chaos is real.

Chaos

This photo was taken during a tour I guided on the Icelandic glacier Breiðamerkurjökull on winter 2022. 
That year we had the chance to have a moulin safe enough for us to walk safely into using the appropriate safety gear. 
A moulin is a feature created by running water digging slowly the ice from the top to the depth of the glacier, it happens mostly in the summer and then slows down a little bit in the winter as the temperature cool down. They are giant drainage wells of the glacier, most of the time large, vertical and very deep. 
Sometimes the water can find a more gentle way down that will allow glacier explorers like us to walk down into them using extreme precaution.
They look like narrow ice canyon in the beginning and can end as an ice cave with a waterfall in the end. 
It's an incredible feeling to be diving in the depth of the glacier where you'll be surrounded by sheer beauty and magic, I feel like sometimes that I'm just diving into the ocean.

You might encounter some large icebergs, very cold water but yet warm and blue bird sky! How can that be?  
Do you think a tuna fish could swim in there? I hardly believe so but a trout maybe!

This collection is about my experience as an adventurer, mountain, ski guide, nature lover, dog father and photographer in Iceland...

The wilderness within

Standing at the bottom of the valley you gaze up at the towering peak that lies ahead, feeling small and insignificant. The towering peaks surrounding you attest to the treacherous journey that lies ahead. It will take resilience and a strong will to make it to the top. Deep inside you know you will do whatever it takes to reach your goal.

With each step the weight of your equipment bears down. But each step moves you closer to the destination, so you push on. The journey is arduous. Yet an unexplainable sense of peace allows focus in the effort. The challenge of the climb is meditation, delving deep into your own inner strength.

Many obstacles and dangers lay ahead. You persevere, driven by the burning desire to reach the summit. The journey is demanding, but also rewarding. The sense of accomplishment and pride inspires the way as you climb closer and closer to your goal. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, you are capable of overcoming them. You know this.  

You continue on, determined to reach the top.
