The Arctic Dream

"Two Winters: Life In West Lapland" by popsto & ricky explores the crossroad between reality and AI.

In this project, time-lapse photographer popsto teams up with an AI artist ricky to bring together both of their art mediums. They want to leave a mark on this pivotal moment of AI becoming the norm in.. pretty much everything.. by combining AI generated time-lapses with IRL shot ones. Merging the new with the old.

The focus in these pieces is winter, specifically Lapland. The sky represents reality, which is typically the realm of the dreamers, while the ground is the unreality of AI generative art. Hopefully bridging these worlds we can show that there's still hope... Winter always leads to spring.

Cold Rush

Slow down for 2 minutes.. Find a quite place.. Sit down and put on your headphones..

Close your eyes.. Breath.. Take even slower and deeper breaths.. Focus only on your breath.. If your mind wanders away it's okay, just put your mind back to breathing.. Feel the chest move..

Now think how are you feeling today.. Are you tired.. Are you happy.. Whatever it is, just let it be.. For once you've taken time for yourself.. For slowing down..

Continue focusing on your breath.. Sit there another minute.. Then slowly open your eyes.. Hopefully you feel relaxed.. You just went through experiencing the peacefulness of Lapland.

Just Slow Down is the genesis collection made by two time-lapse lads (popsto & NJ) from the Arctic Circle.

We want you to take a step back, observe what's around you and enjoy the little things in life. Go out for a walk, spend time with your love ones and focus on things that *actually* matter in your life.

This collection was born out of our own need to escape the real world, and now we hope our work can help you to do the same - to just slow down.
