"Istanbul," the third piece from the "Shahrzad" collection, is predominantly inspired by the blue color drawn from the Hagia Sophia Mosque in the heart of Istanbul, which dates back to the Ottoman period. The image of the woman is a combination of reality and imagination, with a glimpse into the legend of Sirens, it conveys a sense of tranquility and coolness to the observer.

This image is a digital artwork featuring an Iranian blue pattern. The central element of the image is a woman and two fish on the woman's throat, symbolizing the forced silence and restlessness it brings. The fish themselves symbolize life and creativity. The red color of the woman's lips signifies her femininity. The blue color and the background texture are inspired by Iranian architecture, especially the tilework of the city of Kashan.

"Beirut" is the tenth and final piece of the "Shahrzad" collection, named after a girl from the land of Lebanon. Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is a Middle Eastern bride, a port city with a history dating back three thousand years, marked by distinctive features that inspired the choice of colors.
The blue, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, is paired with materials and the color of copper, which play a role on the forehead and hair of this woman. The use of Verdigris in this piece tells a story of the antiquity and the wounds of this land—a narrative reflected in the eyes of the woman, the shared pain of the people of the Middle East. "A tranquility that has been stolen from her for centuries."

Beirut

"Dubai," the fourth piece in the "Shahrzad" collection, is crafted as the adorned bride of the Middle East, drawing inspiration from the city of Dubai. This painting incorporates shades of pink and black. Pink symbolizes enthusiasm, creativity, life, and energy, while black signifies power, seriousness, mystery, and beauty. The warm and vibrant effect of pink, adorned with black spots and droplets, alludes to Dubai as a modern, populous, and advanced city. The use of black is inspired by oil and its impact on the growth of the city. The colors portray a contrast and diversity, a mysterious combination of the excitement of life and the mysterious power. The color composition depicts movement, explosion, complexity, and dynamism.
The woman's face in this painting is designed with influences from the faces of Middle Eastern women, representing an individual identity confined behind the social and cultural curtains but still symbolizing beauty, tranquility, imagination, and dreams.


Dubai

"Shiraz" is the fifth piece of the collection "Shahrzad". Shiraz is the historical and cultural capital of ancient Iran with a 2500-year-old memory. Renowned in Iran as the city of love and wine, it is a reason for choosing warm and fiery colors. In this artwork, we observe a determined woman with entranced eyes and fish, symbolic of the excitement and passion of life.

The textured braids in the woman's hair and the edges of her lips serve as a reference to the historical legacy of this melodious city. The background features a pattern inspired by Iranian carpets, counted among the distinctive elements of ancient Iranian industries. The red and orange colors signify love, warmth, and autumn. Along the tail and body of the fish, signs of autumn are visible. The transition of colors from red to orange and gold at the edge of the carpet represents the heat and warmth of life.

This painting, through the harmonious combination of colors and patterns, respectfully portrays the history and culture of Shiraz, embracing the differences and artistry that make this city unique.

Shiraz

This time, Shahrazad is a girl from the land of Iraq... Baghdad. The seventh piece of the ten-part Shahrazad collection is a city situated in Iraq, which also hosts an art school with the same name.
The motifs and color palette of the artwork are chosen and Painted under the influence of both elements (the geography of Baghdad and the Baghdad School). Warm colors are juxtaposed with a face that is cool and stern.
Shahrazad is a woman who, despite the discrimination and the constant accompanying sorrow, is determined to live her life.

Baghdad

This image is the second piece from the ten-part series "Shahrzad," titled Tehran. The depiction of a woman in the picture symbolizes Iranian women, with the blue color being  Persian blue and the darkness signifying the smog and pollution that characterize the metropolis of Tehran. The fish serve as a metaphor for adaptation and the struggle for life.

The ninth work of the Shahrzad series is named Damascus, in honor and memory of Ghada Al-Samman, the Syrian female poet.

Warm and rich colors in this work have created an atmosphere that is in harmony not only with the history and culture of Damascus but also with the political and social situation of this land that has endured a war. The face of the woman, painted in red and black lines, is an image of the violence and oppression that befell the people of Damascus. The fish symbolize the hidden desire for freedom within the human essence, striving to overcome the dark and fearful beliefs that have replaced joy.

This collection consists of abstract artworks with different colors and spaces. The artworks have a textured and collaged appearance. They create a balance and harmony of shapes, colors and spaces. This collection is the start of more works from me.
