LANGUR

A type of grey, medium-sized monkey with a long tail that lives in Asia. Often used to scare away monkeys from residential colonies. 

Noisy and scary, he climbs onto people’s balconies and windows. Always creating a ruckus wherever he goes and one of the most fun Behrupias.

Very popular and always a crowd favourite.

The Raikas of Marwar

The Raika or Rebari are one of the groups of livestock herders inhabiting the western districts of Marwar region of Rajasthan, India. They were the traditional caretakers of the camel herds belonging to the Maharajahs. 
Parched skin, chiseled faces with sunken eyes tell many stories of their nomadic lifestyle in the heat and sun of the Thar desert. 
The Raikas live in tight and enclosed communities and they have a very strong bond with their animals from the time they are born until they die. With a lifespan of almost 50 years, an animal may well outlive its owner.

A girl looks at a procession horse that seems as tired as its handler. He has been working multiple shifts and has had no sleep.

A farmer in a remote village in southern India, brings her cattle home after grazing in the evening. 

Some of these villages are adopted by nearby industrial towns. They receive basics like electricity, elementary schools and primary health clinics. People still farm but newer generations are migrating to cities in prospect of jobs. 

Despite the hardships, her elegance and fortitude is very evident.

In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Shantanu was the blind 
father of Shravan Kumar who was accidentally killed
by Dasarath (King of Ayodhya and father of Lord RAMA).

This incident started a chain of events that led to Rama and his brother along with his wife Sita
to be exiled for 14 years.
And during that period the epic battle with RAVANA took place.

SHANTANU

RAS-LILA the transcendental dance in Nidhivana is considered one of the most beautiful depictions of soulful love.        It took place on a full moon night when the Gopis of Vrindavana, upon hearing the        sound of Krishna's flute, sneaked away from their        households to the forest to dance with        Krishna and Radha throughout the night.       
Krishna supernaturally stretched the length of        that night by one KALPA, a unit of time lasting       approximately 4.32 billion years.

As I took that serendipitous left turn towards a neglected lane, I discovered this graffiti which left me wondering in bewildered amazement. What would have happened, was it about torn love, an expression of anger or just hurt? 

I’ll never know.
