The lanner falcon (Falco biarmicus) is a medium-sized bird of prey that breeds in Africa, southeast Europe and just into Asia. According to the University of Michigan (Museum of Zoology) resource, there are fewer than 1,400 breeding pairs of the Lanner falcon exist in the world. Currently, Lanner falcons are classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List and their numbers today are increasing.
