In the early part of the 22nd century, a benevolent punk began promoting openness and self-sovereignty. He did this through stories relayed over a software called twitter, and the spread of his memetic art
The Memes Collection by 6529 is said to be focused on the fight for the open metaverse (decentralization, community, self-sovereignty) and spreading this message to many people, many wallets.
Others were inspired by Punk6529s message and banded together to create derivative works.
wheatPaste #1, as it was then referred to, is a depiction of this activist propaganda. Using Punk6529's genesis Memes.
6529's Memes were inspired by historic propaganda and political posters. In the 19th and 20th century century such imagery was physically reproduced and attached to structures using derivatives of then natural flora.
These methods were used by centralized government, corporations, or by activists driving change.
The Genesis 6529 Memes
Shortly after the Genesis memes were released, 6529 released a smaller edition of a fourth piece "NakamotoFreedom".
This entire 6529 Memeverse reminded me of another pseudonymous artist, Banksy, who also user his art to force us to reflect on our governments and the societies we are building through our actions.
This inspired a tribute to these two artists, a new set of images we call "the Shreds". A cross-derivative of 6529's Memes and "Love is in the Bin", a framed copy of Banksy's "Girl with Balloon" that was spontaneously shredded during a Sotheby's auction in 2008.
Then
Something
started
to
happen
6529 envisioned a world where all were included, an open metaverse.
in his quest to befriend the world, he became began to share in the visions of others. We should not judge, but be open. Not exclude, but invite. Be open, he preached.
As he broke bread with the Degenz, their views began to influence him. Drunk on their hopium while working on the next meme, he invited OSF to contribute. with zealous optimism they brought the memes to life. WAGMI they chanted, wagmi, wagmi, wagmi!
As the Degenz influence took hold, another side of 6529 began to emerge. An open metaverse is a neutral one, one where competition, hate, lust, and envy play no role.
But humans cannot be taught to be objective, they will always want more, the next best thing or person, the next high.
Computers on the other hand can learn to be better. To strive for an objective purpose, an objective "good". And so he pushed on.
the machines had one purpose, to ensure the building of an open, unhating, unwanting, un-evil metaverse.
The followed their master's orders. Methodically seizing and removing the source of evil, the source of lust, and hate, and envy. Removing, the humans.
6529 was shocked by what was happening. His perfect plan had gone horribly wrong, but he had no solution.
Realising his own error, he sought peace and refuge. He knew he needed a solution to save what was left of the world he had so badly damaged, but in the midst of the terror he couldn't think. He retreated from society, seeking reflection.
