Introduction to the glitchy aesthetic. Some of the first NFT's I ever saw were very glitchy images with mild animation. They didn't really appeal to me, but I didn't really give them a chance to. About six months after I saw these some of my favorite people from the data viz community starting releasing NFTs on Foundation and I was stunned at how beautiful they were. I digged some more and discovery they had also realeased work on HeN, and this got me started down the rabbit hole. I still avoided the glitchy stuff, mostly. Then, one day, I fell for landlines art. I was most drawn to his Dots project, but I started to look at his other work. I didn't fall in love with Sedimentary Dissolution immediately. It took time. I ended up buying three in the mild red, yellow, green, and grey palette. This was my entry to the glitchy aesthetic.
Staying with pastel colors. I find that I like the contrast of the busy/wild textures -- common with glitchy aesthetic -- and the calmness of the colors. A lot of the glitchy art seem to be using strong primary colors, and doesn't appeal to me. I find that it becomes too busy to look at. Perhaps I just haven't developed a taste for it yet.
Expanding the colors. I've come to appreciate the saturated colors some more. I particularly like bright greens and pinks together.
