Gratitude
A tale of generosity in Crypto Art
On these troubled days, I wanted to enlight a different side of crypto. I wanted to share a story about the global generosity and noblesse of the crypto art community, its artists, collectors and builders.
This gallery is dedicated to all the people that strive to make crypto art a better place. You have all my gratitude.
Like many others in the space, my story begins late 2021 with poor decisions making and losses in pfp land. Hopefully for me, I found my way into generative art which lead me to meet better communities within crypto art.
This is when I started to meet artists generosity and my sweet lady luck.

After releasing its own art plateform, TBOA, Shvembldr created a contest. He asked us to describe & tweet how we felt about the AIXXA we just had minted to win a future mint of his work.
My incredible luck helped me here because there was supposed to be 7 winners and by some succession of events 10 winners were drawn and I was number 9. But Shvembldr still rewarded us all with a mint.
With it, I chose to use it to mint ALien DNA and got this beauty.
As a promotion to the metaverse experience Beervanger was creating, The Realm of MU, he offered exclusive content to holders of his previous work. Being part of his collectors, I reveiced this wonderful Snowfro skin.
Besides, people that took part on his metaverse were offered a MU token that enabled to premint his next playground collection, the mesmerizing HashCrash
It is hard not name some people when talking generosity in the space, Zancan is definitely part of this group.
In early April 22, He released (kinder)Garden and Monuments in collab with Yazid and promised that they would offer 10 plotter drawings with giving many details. A couple of days later, people noticed that he was about to launch a new project "Draw" on Fxhash under his second alias. With a free 1/1 of 10 collection released by Zancan, chaos ensued.
Despite the cryptic nature of this project (see without render live), people realized it was an onchain draw for the free plotter with a secret garden(see live render). This time I was draw #10 but had the opportunity to get a Zancan plotter of my KGM.
Draw #10
Mannay is relatively new to the crypto art space but as we have connected, I can already tell his heart is definitely in the right place and his art speaks for itself.
Mannay experimented with bidder edition on his release call After The Storm, which is a frame by frame animation accompanied by a piano composition of his own. Although I did not win the auction, I was very pleased to be gifted a static version of his work.
The turning point as I was entering NFT space was to join Grailers DAO.I found a community that was actually caring about Generative Art and not just pretending to for money sake.
In this community, I have been blessed by deep reflections and discussions that help me understand more deply art and its medium NFT. This community have also been gifted numerous mints and allow list by artists I love such as Stefan Contiero and Rudxane whose work I love.
My advice to all of you that might feel lost, join a supportive community within Crypto Art, there are many. Participate to try and elevate the space. This is the best way to learn and not get burnt too much.
When I entered Tezos ecosystem, I started following many new people. Among them is one of the most proeminent collector of Tezos FunnyGuys.
They are formidable art promotors and also very generous people. I have seen many occasions of them offering art through twitter contests. On one of them, they offered 10 lushtemples from Zancan to people commenting their address. This is how I got my second ever Zancan piece, thanks to FunnyGuys and my amazing luck
Most builders in the space are generous and although I'm aware that this is rarely free since they need to build an audience, Deca has been almost overly generous to all the people that actually want to take part in this crypto art revolution.
Their first reward was for the first 500 people retweeting one very mysterious tweet and promising tweet like there are thousands everyday on Twitter. Except that they actually gifted a XCOPY x Deca collab ! I was lucky enough to be here at this moment and receive what will most likely be my only XCOPY, Right Click Share.
They created the Decagon an ever evolving member pass in collab Kjetil Golid, a renown AB curated artist, that can be minted for free.
They created many contests with artists to reward creativity of users and artist collabs on their logo to reward user activityon their plateform. I was lucky enough to be awarded their latest Decal by Reuben Wu that I absolutely love.

Another time I got to experience Zancan generosity is during the Deca x Zancan contest. The 3 best galleries of his work were supposed to be rewarded.
I ended up being 14 with my very humble take and thought that would be it. But Zancan decided to reward the top 16 submissions by gifting us his next work, "Golden Glow"
Like many Art Block Curated artists, Thomas is a gem of generosity and I have witness several gestures from him that gave me faith in the space as a whole.
The occurence that concerns me might feel less grand but meant a lot to me. As Thomas work on his Bright Moment release Inprecision, he organized a Screens gallery contest with Deca that I managed to win with my proposal (See "Through the Screens gallery)
This enabled me to mint this delightful Inprecision that would have remained way out of reach without the contest.
Like Artists, crypto art collectors can be very supportive and generous. This is something I especially noticed as I went further down the rabbit hole by joinning Grailers DAO and after that the Tezos community. This is mainly thanks to all of them that I am still in this space today and have not lost faith
Thanks to the Deca Team to be such a positive force in the Web3 space and to all the builders that help shape what a decentralized web could look like
