THE REVELATION : My NFT journey started, probably like many others, by a shock after reading about Fidenza's and especially after seeing Fidenza #313 aka "The Tulip"
THE CALL TO ADVENTURE: After a few days of trial and errors I finally reached Art Block and decided that I should start by buying an AB Playground project. Not as famous as AB Curated but still by AB curated artists. As I looked through the collection, Ultrawave 369 by Beervanger resonnated with me, especially #229. Its simple look yet sophisticated slight asymmetry was both very satisfaying to watch render and somewhat discomforting for my OCDed brain. This became my first AB piece and only one for a long time
MEETING THE MENTORS : As I witnessed the generative art market slow down, I explored other directions (pfps, utility, etc.). It took me a while to find the Generative Art light again. As I was chillin in a project discord, someone started talking about Grailers DAO and that they are gathering funds to collectively own couple of pieces of the future Tyler Hobbs drop "Incomplete Control". After few words exchanged with the OG members, I decided to mint in order to join and learn from the best. The collective story is incredible as we successfully acquiered 9 ICs (the 3x3 grid) after unbelivable moves, negociation and momentum generated by the community.
CROSSING THE FIRST THRESHOLD: Supported by Grailers community I finally got back to AB projects and was ready to take on my first Curated drop ! After many difficulties (fucking Ledger update issues that prevented me from minting, then I was outrun from buying a wonderful Berlin the first night) I jumped in the Screen collection by Thomas Pederson and managed to grab a wonderful almost symmetrical Jungle piece with two spirals actors. This was my first Curated but not the last I hoped
TESTS, ALLIES AND ENNEMIES: After this success, I opened up more to the space and tried many other projects. That wasn't always a success as I got beaten by bots several times, unlucky in whitelists and out gased by others. Fortunately (or unfortunately for my ETH balance) I still managed to find stunningly crafted projects to join and keep doing it currently. Like the peculiar Alien DNA by Shvembdlr or Anticyclone by William Mapan
APPROACH TO THE INMOST CAVE: This is only the beginning of my journey in the NFT space and I feel like we still have many hurddles on the way but I'm determined to continue collect the art I enjoy with the people I appreciate and respect
