This NFT was drawn for my dear friend @noealz. We met in April 2021 thanks to NFTs. I feel so lucky to have met you, thank you so much for all your support and for just being there for me.

Noe with Taro boba

Seoul is a shimmering, iridescent metropolis that seems to resemble and encapsulates the essence of cyberpunk; a deep skepticism of authority and corporate power, as well as a fascination with advanced technology and its potential to transform society. Often portraying a dystopian future where technology has gone awry. Cyberpunk embodies a rebellious and anti-establishment spirit, with those who challenge the status quo and fight for individual freedom in the face of oppressive systems.

Few artists have the ability to stir such strong feelings of defiance towards neo-dystopias as Ruben. As a long-time admirer of his work, I was thrilled when he accepted my invitation to collaborate on a project that would bring his unique perspective to Seoul. With his exceptional talent and visionary style, Ruben has added a new dimension to our exploration of cyberpunk aesthetics, elevating the artwork to new heights of evocative power.

A bit more about this piece, we have been collaborating on this piece since October 2021. Ruben taught me what I should do to complete this piece, and I went out and bought a 360 camera for the sole purpose of collaborating together. I headed out into the city and shot multiple places that might look great and Ruben chose which footage to work with. He then worked his magic and even added in the sounds, truly masterful. This location is called "Meat Street" in Seoul, South Korea, ripe with BBQ and yes, lots of soju. The name digital soju came to mind because while I was out shooting this footage, a soju bottle fell from one of the roofs and shattered next to me.

It was past the legal hours to be out in the city. Two offenders secretly meet up to make the exchange. Will you take the red pill or the blue 
pill?

"You cannot take too long to make your choice, the sirens are drawing nearer and we must make our ways." 

Take the red pill and you will awaken from the illusion and control society has created for us, take the blue pill and you will awaken in your bed, forgetting everything you have learned. 

People are afraid when their reality is shattered and not many people are ready to be awoken from their fabricated 'truths'. Are reality and truth worth pursuing? Or would you rather maintain your social constructs, unshaken and comfortable?

The sirens have stopped now, they are steps away, they are coming. 
Make your choice.

White Rabbit

This particular piece has an extensive backstory, as it has been in development over two years. The initial inspiration for the artwork came from an infrared photograph I captured on a beautiful spring day in Seoul, South Korea and I have long seen my infrared photography as being the perfect medium to blend with paintings.
My admiration for GreyRadian has been longstanding, and she was one of the first individuals I met when I began exploring NFTs. The idea of collaborating was always present in the back of our minds, but we aspired to elevate our efforts to new heights. This is where Rikognition came in. Through his animation expertise, we were able to produce a truly distinctive creation. Although it required a significant amount of patience, I believe the end result was well worth the wait.

A bit more about this piece, arguably, this piece took much longer than all the other pieces. We began working on this in the summer of 2021, it began with an infrared photograph I took near Yongsan, South Korea. I have always had a love for trains and train tracks in my photography and the theme is prevalent in anime. GreyRadian then worked her magic of painting over the photograph, adding the girl, the sky, and various elements. Kenson worked on the final third of the piece, animating the various layers and adding the final touches. My photography can be categorized as anime-like daytime photography, and cyberpunk-style rainy nights, so it is amazing to see my daytime photography transform in this manner.

A rainy night taken in the streets of Cheonan, South Korea. This was shot near the train station, it is a very rundown area with lots of neon lights and old-school signs. I took this during the rainy season and the rain was too strong to take in other parts of the city, but luckily the vicinity of buildings in this area helped shield me from the rain and wind. It was late, so there were not many other people around, except for the glow of the neon lights of this singing room.

Okguseul Norae

It was getting quite late as a drizzle fell upon the city of Tokyo. The bars were closing, the breeze was light, and the lanterns danced in the wind. But there was no darkness, as each street and alleyway lay lit with neon and signs beckoning people to enter the few remaining open places.  The bar girls  welcoming the remaining salarymen as many of them head home for the night. 
	I have been waiting for these moments when the lights are dim and the population has whittled down. For me, the solemn ambiance of the backstreets combined with rain and few people make for the most beautiful photos. I prowl the streets until daybreak hunting for the next "scene" that catches my eye, the next piece which makes me feel accomplished as a photographer.  
	I come across an empty alleyway, most bars closed, but the glimmer of the lights enough for a beautiful scene with lanterns on the overhang. Every angle is beautiful, I had been waiting for such a location where there are multiple photos no matter the direction. Feels like a jackpot, so I decide to call it a night, knowing that I accomplished my goal as a photographer and having the impatience to come home and edit my footage.

Fujima Sanchi

I'm always searching for that 'one' photograph that represents the best of my photography for that city. This picture encapsulates that search for Tokyo, it is located in the Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Actually, I had come across this location many years ago and have taken this photo countless times; however, I was never satisfied with the outcome. There have been camera cameras, many lenses, and many different times of the day when I have come back to take this picture, but it was never complete.
	On my latest trip to Tokyo, I was actually able to meet up with a few friends who began as my collectors. We ended up visiting this location and to our surprise, there was a hidden bar in the corner behind the bike in this photograph. We had a few drinks, had a few laughs, and overall had a very enjoyable meetup bonding over drinks, stories, and our love for web3. After coming out, I took this picture one more time. 
	Somehow, the photograph was much more beautiful than the times before it. Maybe the story behind this piece completes the photograph for me. The small bars, the overgrowth, the bicycles, the neon signs, the night...and now the new memories.

The Heart of Shinjuku

As part of a long-term ongoing collection of capital cities around the world, Seoul Love Letter is a tribute and my interpretation of South Korea. I have lived in this city since 2011 and during those years I have taken so many photos of the city, but finding the perfect shot was extremely difficult. This picture was taken on the first sunrise of 2000, it is customary to spend the new year looking at the new sunrise. I climbed Inwangsan mountain a few hours before sunset, in freezing weather to get this beautiful shot (cold air makes for a clearer atmosphere). 

Something that sets this piece apart from my other love letters is that usually the pieces are a lot busier, but this one has just the right amount of movement and grace. A darker part of this piece is the corporate culture that has taken over the entire country, which is why I decided to include the top 20 chaebol or mega-corporations that control life in South Korea, it's like taking a page from a cyberpunk story. 

Seoul Love Letter

The second piece to my 'Love Letter' series. I rarely mint my cityscape photography pieces, and I wanted to create a special series for them. My goal is to create a love letter for every major city worldwide. 

This piece in particular was shot near Victoria Peak in Hong Kong. I say, near Victoria Peak because people usually take the same photograph at the touristy location, leading to a very common photograph. I wanted something different, so I asked my friend from Hong Kong if he knew a different location. He took me to this lesser-known road with almost no people (because everyone was at Victoria Peak) and walking along the path, I saw the scene out of the corner of my eye, I took out my camera and took my pictures.

I am happy to take a different view of a very beautiful city that I hold dear to my heart, my vision for a futuristic cyberpunk future comes to light combined with my photography, and I hope people can feel what I felt when I stood on that mountain.

Hong Kong Love Letter

One of my earlier photographs was one of the more emotional photos. I remember walking the streets, and next to me was a couple that was fighting. After the fight was over, the man left the woman crying. I've always been really shy about taking pictures of people's faces, but once the women started walking off, I decided to take a photograph. For me, the story of the photograph is quite impactful and one of the reasons I like this picture very much.

For this drop, I want the people who have supported me and believed in my works, to feel appreciated. I have been taking photographs most of my life, and most of my life those photos went unnoticed. 

Thank you so much for believing in what I do and helping me inch closer to my dreams. I will continue to take photographs from cities all over the world, and I hope that in my travels we can meet and have some coffee or tea together. I'd be grateful for those future memories.

For My Collectors by Noealz

Illuminated by neon glare, 2 friends make their way through the maze of Tokyoites, avoiding the ever-watchful gaze of corporate surveillance. Their agreed meeting spot is Yodobashi Camera, a corporate giant that creates the same surveillance tools they wish to evade. They exchange encrypted messages, their faces obscured by augmented reality masks. With a silent understanding, they embark on their escape, leaving behind the oppressive confines of urban life, in search of freedom beyond the city's neon walls.

"This photograph was taken in Fujiyoshida in Japan. I cannot say exactly what the appeal of this photograph was, but for many years I have wanted to visit this location after seeing it in different artist renditions; however, this place has also become a very popular photography spot for tourists. 
After many years, I finally made the effort to photograph this location. It was quite challenging due to the heavy foot traffic and constant stream of cars. To capture this image, I spent several hours on site, meticulously stitching together multiple shots to eliminate people taking selfies and vehicles obstructing the view. Ultimately, I achieved the image I envisioned: a perfect blend of modern Japan with Mt. Fuji in the background. Unfortunately, this photograph can no longer be replicated. Earlier this year, city authorities erected a wall to block this view due to the disrespectful behavior of many visitors, who caused numerous problems and broke laws. As a result, this view is now off-limits.

Forbidden View

I want to express moments of beauty as I view them in my travels. Constantly on the lookout for views that people will not come across in their everyday lives. In this case, I came across this view of Osaka castle in Japan. 

I knew exactly the image I wanted to portray. There cherry blossom are an effect created using an infrared camera. The motion of the water and the twinkle of the stars are a subtlety that I believe adds much more to the image. And the clouds add an extra element as I always imagined flowing behind the castle.

Now I can share my little dream with people who have supported me all this time, thank you for all your support all along and let's create more beautiful images together.

Lost Dreams Among the Ash

I wanted to select a piece everyone could relate to. For me, the events that took place were a huge hit for everything I had been working for throughout my time as an artist. For the weeks following the events of May, I decided to channel that energy into creating pieces that would remind me to never forget and to the events that occurred as a lesson to play things safe.
I hope we don't forget those moments so that we never make the same mistakes once again.

Aftermath #18/108

For this drop, I want the people who have supported me and believed in my works, to feel appreciated. I have been taking photographs most of my life, and most of my life those photos went unnoticed. 

Thank you so much for believing in what I do and helping me inch closer to my dreams. I will continue to take photographs from cities all over the world, and I hope that in my travels we can meet and have some coffee or tea together. I'd be grateful for those future memories.

Please enjoy this collection of images as a non-fungible token of my gratitude, while I do animate a selected number of my images, I would still like to be thought of as a photographer, and I believe my photos can hold their own and the stories that come alongside them.

For My Collectors Open Edition by Noealz

It was a rainy evening in Seoul, South Korea. I was asked to shoot this restaurant called Art Monster, they even moved things around for me outside. But to my surprise, not many people were there, not even a line. But it was the perfect opportunity to take an image like this, it came out beautiful. Art Monster is a themed restaurant, this theme is Hong Kong neons. I think it is quite beautiful, like a 3D render but in real life. It is a photograph bordering an illustration.

During my trip to Hong Kong, I spent every night out shooting and exploring the streets. I would spend my nights shooting until morning. One of these evenings I was out in an alley when my battery died, so I tried to change my battery but almost dropped my camera on the ground. Just as I changed the battery, this drunk older guy swiveled past me. I didn't have time to change my settings, so he came out a little blurry but I personally think that makes the photo have more character.

After spending too much time in front of her computer screen, she realizes the importance of spending time out in the real world. Life is too short to focus on money and material possessions. 

There will always be new opportunities, and the losses can always be recovered, but our life is deflationary. Every second becomes much more valuable than the previous one.

There is pleasure and zen to be had in the joy of missing out, not chasing every trend, not chasing every opportunity, disconnecting, and spending time doing the things you love, such as spending a night out singing to your favorite songs.

	The year is 1999, but no one knows what the real year is. The institutions are the gatekeepers. The world as we know it is merely a construct aimed at enslaving our bodies and minds. 
	There walks the lonely drifter, his mind fractured, experiencing glimpses of a truth that he is not meant to know about. Knowing the truth of how the world actually works will allow you to formulate a plan to escape the everyday slavery we subdue our mental state to on a daily basis. The 'One' whose mind is open allows him or her to see the truth of the world and be able to travel between worlds living different identities.
	One look at this piece and it's easy to pick up where I obtained the inspiration for 'Drifter'. I have always loved SciFi films and especially loved The Matrix series. For a long time, I wanted to create a photograph resembling a real-life simulation. I think my photography and skills have finally gotten to that point where I can achieve this effect now with 'Drifter'.
	The first person to collect this piece is able to receive a signed photography book as well as a print of the original image. Please be sure to contact me if this is you.

Tokyo is a city of boundless possibility, one that can be interpreted and reinterpreted in countless ways. A place that inspires visions of both futurism and cyberpunk, it is a city that defies easy categorization. While it is not difficult to capture Tokyo's essence through photography, the medium inevitably falls short in fully conveying the depth and complexity of this remarkable metropolis.
As an admirer of Idil's visionary cyberscapes, I have longed to collaborate with her in bringing Tokyo to life. With her exceptional talent and unique perspective, Idil possesses the ability to unlock the true potential of Tokyo, to reveal its hidden dimensions and unseen layers. Together, we can explore this captivating city and push the boundaries of what is possible, uncovering new vistas of imagination and creativity.

A bit more about this piece, the picture itself was shot in Shinjuku at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building in the direction facing Mt. Fuji. You can see Mt. Fuji towering over the city on a clear day. Idil took my photograph and used her magic to paint and edit the image and add some very aesthetic atmosphere to the image.

Pigeons basking in the sun in Seoul, South Korea. This was shot with an infrared camera, so you get pink trees that look like cherry blossoms. I thought it was quite lovely and took this image.  Really thought this scene was very peaceful,  I hope people love pigeons as much as I do!

I've always admired the determination of delivery people to arrive on time at their destination. If you live in Seoul, you will no doubt count a great number of couriers on a motorcycle every few minutes, no matter which street or apartment building you may be at. They are available 24 hours a day, and it is not uncommon for people to be ordering a late-night snack at 4 am. It is a far more dangerous job than most think though, as they are expected to work in the snow or in the rain or in the hottest summer days, undeterred and determined.

It has been a rough week, with deadlines and uncooperative clients that have drained you. But finally, it is Friday night and it is time to come alive. Barhopping along the dim-lit alleys of Tokyo, your friends and you become mesmerized by the neon sign that reads 'Karaoke'. 

How many drinks have passed? Reality is quickly falling apart all around and your senses can no longer pick up. But nothing matters, only the drinks, the music, and the companionship of friends.

This photo was shot in Seoul, South Korea. It was a late spring morning in the residential areas of northern Seoul. I was looking for scenes that resembled and animation and came across this. I took out my tripod and took multiple photos with my infrared camera, to create this image. It reminds me of an anime scene.

There are 365 photos in the pool.
Everyday people have 24 hours to "Lock In" the photo that is displayed. If they don't it will be burned forever.

-If only 1 person locks it in, it becomes a 1/1
-If multiple people lock it in, it becomes an edition.
-If no one locks it in, it is burned forever.

But also! If no one locks anything, at the end of the 365 days, they will get a special piece.

So far it is day 2, things are going really well, everyone is happy with the drop, the mechanics, and the photos being revealed.

Gotta try new things to stand out, and I will be using programming alot with my photography in the future.

I believe I got very lucky with this picture. I visited Kyoto, Japan November 2022 the first week it was re-opened for tourists. There were very few people at the time, but three days later the busses of tourists showed up. 

This particular shot was taken on the road leading to Yasaka Pagoda, with all the little shops lining up towards reaching it. I used a specialized infrared camera to capture the colors in this manner in the early morning. The picture ended up much more beautiful than expected, a really peaceful outcome.

Illuminated by neon glare, 2 friends make their way through the maze of Tokyoites, avoiding the ever-watchful gaze of corporate surveillance. Their agreed meeting spot is Yodobashi Camera, a corporate giant that creates the same surveillance tools they wish to evade. They exchange encrypted messages, their faces obscured by augmented reality masks. With a silent understanding, they embark on their escape, leaving behind the oppressive confines of urban life, in search of freedom beyond the city's neon walls.

Moments 365 is an NFT that changes every single day for 365 days. The owner can choose to lock a photograph that they like, potentially scoring a 1/1. However, you do not know if you locked in a 1/1, what if someone else locked in the same photo?

Photos that are not locked in will be burnt forever. If you do not lock in any photos for 365 days, on the 366th day you will get something special. Who knows what it could be?

I spent alot of time and resources working on this, since it will be my only OE, I wanted it to be something special and different from everything else out there. I have no idea how it will perform, but I am just happy to share with the world my art and creativity.

Moments 365: Asia

Recently, I took my first time to New York. I knew that I wanted to create something special and unique, as so many photographers visit the city; so I wanted something to help me standout.
One of the things I am good at, is creating timelapse, particularly day to night. I wanted to create something with timelapses, the city descending into darkness. Transforming into a cyberpunk cityscape - like those in Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Bladerunner.
Of course, I wanted to throw in bits and pieces of the cryptoverse as that inspires me very much.
I took a trip to the pier, found a nice location after hunting for a few hours. There were so many people, so I climbed up on some columns where I knew no one would go. Then I captured the sundown.
