Leggenda #361

LEGGENDA #451
Inspired by a future-past vibe, Leggenda imagines a scenario where humanity goes extinct. A reality where another civilization finds our NFT galleries in the ruins of our ancient, long-lost technology.
"What will remain of me if I die at this moment?"
GRAILER #118
As many Grailers already know, our DAO is quite the hive mind. Alive, with many different ideas, perspectives, and discussions. It’s complex, with many shades, and many voices. How can you possibly represent such complexity?
The answer for me was both simple and obvious: Textures, textures, textures. My love for textures and tiny details is well known. And this felt like the perfect chance to make great use of both.
BEN KOVACH
Imagine a net structure where, at every point the ropes cross one another, there is a physical object with mass that can respond to forces. The connections between these objects cannot break, but they can stretch infinitely.
Now toss a few explosions into that structure.

The Cradle
In here, it is as natural to die, as to be born Peaceful, as a coffin or as a cradle
The algorithm had to run a hundred times to come up with a well-organized, symbolic number of 12 monoliths. But the Heart Shape, it emerged as an utterly meaningful gift from chance.
In antiquity, the column engraved with furrows represented the trunk of the tree, a homage to nature built to transcend the ephemeral of the living and an attempt to bind to the eternity of the things of the spirit.
EMANUELE PASIN
The mutability of life, the endless directions we can take, and the encounters that shape our existence. Divenire represents life as a constantly changing experience made of decisions, boundaries, and contaminations. As human beings, we are what we feel, so each color palette embodies a state of mind.

MARCELO SORIA-RODRIGUEZ
There is tremendous beauty in the process of learning. In mistakes, in the enlightenment that one experiments through the discovery that emerges from trying to do something new.
I have always enjoyed to see the sketches that shaped artworks that one typically sees only in a finalized state. The letters that the artist wrote to her friends telling them about their vision, or their problems, or their passion. The broken clay models. The countless pages in notebooks filled with annotations.
Throughout the development of my generative artworks I, as every other artist does, keep a rather large quantity of intermediate sketches, unfinished outputs, rough ideas, tests and other artifacts on the road to creating the "final" work. But the word "final" is a bit misleading. No work is final, and the only thing that exists is a journey.

EDIFICE #668
Our lives are scattered across several time scales, and the meaning of every event that takes place depends on the time scale that we choose to define & observe them from. Yet we fail to fully comprehend this in our daily errands.
I'm very much interested in whether emotions will take place in artificial beings, and what will they be like. We humans operate largely from the emotional plane, yet we expect artificial intelligences to understand our world based on what typically is biased, incomplete data of mostly rational processes.

KJETIL GOLID
The infinitely evolving, always unique, and eternally open membership token of the Decaverse.
DECAGON #1115
The Decaverse can become THE platform for art & beauty & NFT degens. And over the years, the network will be progressively controlled by the community
And so we created the Decagon to be the web3 membership token to scale the Decaverse. Each Decagon is a unique piece of generative art by K.Golid, creator of Archetypes and master of colors.
entretiempos #406
We talk about artificial intelligence, but leave aside artificial emotions all too often. While artificial intelligences are indeed interesting, we fail to recognize the paramount importance of emotions in human behavior. To this end, this work explores also the result of painting with machine-like precision vs. performing the artwork with a range of possible imprecisions.
The perfection of the machine vs. the imperfection of the human, does it trigger different emotions in us humans? What will the reaction of a machine be whenever they develop a taste?

RAPTURE #648
Rapture is a series exploring magical seals overflowing their boundaries, gradually dissolving into the surroundings. It is imagined as abstract iconography for a fictional mystic religion.

Fjäll is inspired by memories of nature; from hikes in the Swedish mountains to plane rides over archipelagos and diving over vast seabed.
Fjäll #212
For Edifice, I bought a bunch of heavy body acrylic paints and spent several evenings just playing with them for the sole purpose of finding colors to sample for palettes. That sort of slower, methodical approach to art making has become more commonplace in my work as I've gotten deeper into it.
Crosswords is an abstract representation of the challenges that life puts in front of us daily. We just need to find the right answer that fits the empty tiles to accomplish everything. Impossible is nothing.
Color palettes are inspired by the great artworks of Donald Judd.
CROSSWORDS #7
Carnevale is a celebration of joy and social unity. Colors, festoni, and confetti are everywhere. Everything is possible in this period, the storm before the quiet of lent.
CARNEVALE #5
The algorithm attempts to capture the feelings evoked by these experiences in shape and color while leaving room for interpretation by the beholder.

TERROIR #9
Fragments of limestone, quartz and clay.
An artwork series exploring emergent natural phenomena uncovered by harnessing deeply nested fractal noise. A chaotic system where the hash of each token acts as a creative engine, generating a window into a foreign world.
As the third evolution to my study of deeply nested noise patterns, "Terroir" builds upon "Rust" and "Terraform" to both broaden and focus. Elevated through additional levers and finely tuned to consistently generate dramatic and satisfying outcomes.

FOCUS #277
DEFOCUSED #277
This algorithm can produce images that are elegantly minimal, as well as images featuring complex patterns that explore visual illusions and artificial space. The limited palette consists of black, white, and five colors; this both constrains possible outcomes and allows the creation of unique perceptual interactions.
Inspired by the Zen art tradition of doing more with less, FOCUS does not utilize any pseudo-random number generation, and each output can be recreated by hand using simple math, estimation, and dedication. Except in extremely rare scenarios, each token can provide a wide variety of visual experiences through its interactive features.
The deFOCUSed algorithm produces tokens that correspond to FOCUS tokens. By using the same random hash as the FOCUS script as well as a new random hash that is generated when a deFOCUSed token is created, some traits match the corresponding FOCUS token, while others are specific to the moment a FOCUS owner deFOCUSes their FOCUS.
