An NFT from the AS10k+ Project, launched to bring the historical archive of August Sander to the Digital World. Each NFT represents ownership of the physical contact print made by Gerd Sander in 1988/89 and depicted by the image as well as access to the August Sander Research Database where the historical legacy of the Sander Family Estate will become publicly available for research. Ownership of the physical contact sheet is determined by the wallet in which the NFT is owned, regardless of wether the contact print has been redeemed or not.

Nature, Art, and Music are my Nirvana, so I was real psyched when LostShoots proposed we collaborate.  
Hendrix was such a brilliant musician and a perfectionist to boot!  
His recording more than fifty takes for a single song, always reminds me of Gertrude Stein sitting eighty or more times before Picasso completed her portrait.  
For artists of such caliber, it takes meeting another someone special to feel safe, loved, at peace, and finally “let go and follow the flow.”  
As seen in their iconic portrait session, Hendrix’s connection with Silverstein is undeniable and soulful.  
“Bleeding Hearts” is my shrine to both of them, as men and as artists.


The photograph used to create this artwork was originally curated and commissioned by LostShoots as part of ‘Frame 69’ - a collaborative NFT project with multiple artists.  
The same single frame (film negative #69) from the 1967 shoot between photographer Donald Silverstein & musician Jimi Hendrix has been licensed to each artist taking part, with kind permission of the Silverstein Family Estate.  
Each artwork within ‘Frame 69’ is a new 1/1 artwork, minted on the artists own smart contract, and curated by Lost Shoots / Matt Humphrey.
