In a time where the machines we built start to look more and more like us, my work is centered around the question of whether humans are modeling artificial intelligences after their own minds, or in fact are we realizing our brains are much more like machines than we ever thought? 
By forcing neural networks to interpret artistic expressions and cultural icons, and exploring the effect their output has on viewers, I am hoping to get a closer understanding of the human consciousness.
