When i was 9 my family and I had a journey to kurdistan of iran. In that journey we meet an old woman whose name was doreshekar.

(Doreshekar means sauger in English) but kurdish people used to call her kevanoo which means a great woman. 

She told us her own life story. She told that  “one day in a morning of 1987 she had woken up and seen everything had been changed in the country due to chemical bombing . 
She had lost all her family, her sons her daughters grandchildren all of them. 

She had buried all of them in four days by herself without any help. But she was still strong and full of hope and energy and invest all of her life for last grandchildren. She was like symbol of resistance for me.

I never forget the real facts of kevanoo and I painted her portraite to spread her voice internationally. 
The music has been played by tanbur that is a kind of kurdish instrument for praying.

In 2019 I had a trip to the coastal city. i be familiar with a woman that name was Rana. she was beautiful but sad. she told me her story that she married with a man that she didn't love him and she lost her first love. i painted this portrait when i came home but i don't know who is behind the burka. Rana? her husband? or her first love?
