 In the heat of the sun I am set free. No longer holding onto things that don't serve me. My worries melt away under the burning rays and a child like disposition comes out to play. In the heat of the sun, I am set free.

[A1] Used when you are going to meet with someone and you're not far from their location. 

[A2] A promise that is made when parting from a loved one.

1) "I'm about to land, I'll see you soon!"  
 
2) "Don't cry, I'll see you soon."


"I'll see you soon," is the first message I look for when I meet up with my friends at NFT events. It means we're finally close enough to see each other. We're close enough to hug, close enough to hold. It's a promise, it means I'm on the way to see you, to be with you and to love you. I get excited when I see those messages all week long, until the last few days, that's when that phrase begins to sting. Something that was once so sweet is now bitter, the phrase rots as the days go by. I'll see you soon is one of the most painful phrases I can utter when departing from my friends. A promise that I can hopefully keep, a goodbye without saying goodbye. For some, the phrase holds no weight and comes with no expectations. However, for me and my friends, "I'll see you soon," is the only thing we can hold onto until the next time we get to hold on to each other. 


This piece is dedicated to the life long friends I've made through twitter. If you're reading this just know I love you and I'll see you soon.

No Rest

Just What I Needed is a fun piece that was shot in the water on a hot summer day back in 2022. Last summer was the first time I tried getting into shooting the surfers in action and this shot really captured the energy of the day. The only issue was the shot was too tight at first but thanks to Photoshop's new generative A.I, I was able to expand the image to exactly the size I want with a seamless background. 

Just What I Needed

This photo is an ode to the one I love. When I'm in your embrace, it feels like it's just you and I floating in an endless sea of our love.

When Two Stars Collide #61/100

From why it was created to how, there are so many reason why, "When Two Stars Collide," is such an important piece of work to me. This photo was inspired by love, created with love and is meant to represent what it feels like to be in love. When I envisioned this photo I had no plans on setting up a shoot. I would tell myself, "It'll happen when the time is right". One day at the beach, I approached a couple who looked so smitten for each other. They agreed to the shoot and we got in the water. I told them to kiss, and in that moment my whole vision came to life. The photo I kept seeing in my head was finally locked in on my roll of Portra 800, I just had to develop it. After it released in 2021,  it touched so many people, it felt like my biggest accomplishment as a photographer. When I turned this piece into a 1/1, there was a lot of ego tied to it. I told myself this piece HAD to sell as a 1/1. So to challenged my ego, I burned the 1/1 and turned my favorite photo into an edition.

The sun was hiding behind the clouds and I was wading, just waiting for the right moment. I went under, avoiding a large wave and when I came up, the sun was out. The rolling waves gave me no time, I took my shot and was thrown right under. A fulfilling morning alone, I had found nirvana.

Finding Nirvana

This photo is the perfect introduction piece to my work. The photo is meant to make you feel like you've just come across my planet and you're on the outside looking in. By combining two 35mm scans, I was able to create this sneak peek into my world and show how I see everyday life.

I drag my hallow body to the top of the dunes. Maybe the closer I am to the source, the better chance I have of hearing it speak to me. I am desperate, I have nothing left. I beg the source to send me a sign. "I am open, please speak through me. I am your humble messenger." But they are silent. I feel as if I may no longer be a vessel, but I must keep faith. I lie dormant, waiting until it's my time again.

On an island in the middle of the sea I am surrounded by water, but I have nothing to drink. I pray for rain, I need relief. Day after day I wait, I must not lose faith.
