With colors and shapes reminiscent of childhood LEGO explorations, 'ylb-mess-A' explores the assembly process in reverse, using recursive subdivision to create detailed structures instead of progressively building a complex structure brick by brick. Although the tools I use to explore and create have changed over the years, this piece reminds me of the natural creative curiosity that was instilled in me at an early age, for which I am incredibly grateful.
