even in your bitter cold embrace,

My worry is not in my safety, 
only that you may know this,  
the cruelty of this winter pales  
to the beauty of your solstice.

I could walk through this endless desert until the last of my days,  
And I would not change a single thing;  
Not the daunting mountains of sand that mock me,  
Not the blistering heat of the sun that sears the  sweat of my brow,  
for every obstacle makes my trial a story worth telling . . . 

I am fated to wander in these scorched lands.

Revealing itself just as hope began to wane,  
A moment of rest to rejuvenate and mend; 
A brief respite from the scorching pain,  
Just a while longer now,  
The oasis is just within reach,  
Let the singing of the wind guide you,  
Until you are finally met with coveted peace . . .

i watch with wondrous eyes as the world springs to life,  
all that was still now thrives in motion,  
all that was bleak is illuminated by the light,  
this is the magic and divinity of all life—of creation itself.

The constant ebbs and flow,
And as the years go by,
As the trees grow taller,
As the world begins to slow,
My vision is clearer and my dreams more vivid,
The clouds above asunder,
This is who I was meant to become,
Everything that I was meant to be,
A conduit of energy and wonder.

Mountains standing tall in the distance,
flocks of birds litter the amber skies,
a thousand years would not do it justice,
an ethereal vision meant for lifetimes,
Watch slowly now as the sun begins to set,
the last of the light reaches at dusk,
a parting gift of silence and bliss,
a fragment of serenity just for us.

At Dusk

In a dreamlike trance, the world slows to a halt. 
Its colors begin to saturate and the lights grow brighter, disorienting yet unmistakably beautiful.
And at the worlds center, sits a single rose in a garden biding its time patiently under the moon.
Waiting for its moment, under the light of the stars and the comfort of the clouds.
Waiting for its time to finally bloom.

I’m floating still at the mercy of the world,
I brace myself as the current overwhelms me
and endure what forces begin to push and whirl,
Despite the endlessness of the crashing waves
I find myself floating back with the hope of purpose,
My happiness and will isn’t about staying afloat
it’s about learning to find my way to the surface.

“At the very top you will find the answers you seek“, say the old tales.

Many before you have ventured to the summit, hoping to grasp firsthand the answers that await the chosen.

Your determination and hope aid you well as the journey thrashes and beats you down, yet onwards you go. . .

Atop the summit sits a curious fountain, endlessly flowing and wondrously alluring;

You sip reservedly and let the warmth revitalize you both in mind and body.

Slowly drawing your breath, you soak in the the sight of the vista and watch closely as answers unfold before you in a dance of color and forms.
