Based Renaissance
Based Renaissance is a break between the past and the present, presenting Renaissance art in a whole new dimension.
The problem Based Renaissance solves
Contemporary art continues this tradition, offering new forms and methods of expression. It reflects current problems of society, experiments with materials and technologies, and seeks new ways of interacting with the audience. However, despite all the differences, contemporary art retains a connection with the past, continuing the dialog with the masters of the past and developing their ideas.
Thus, the link between generations in art is the basis for its development and progress. It ensures the continuity of traditions and opens up new opportunities for artists to express themselves. This keeps art alive and relevant, capable of reflecting changes in society and inspiring people to make new discoveries.
An art project linking generations and performance techniques. I always wanted to immortalize old work in blockchain.
The project demonstrates the continuous process of transferring knowledge, experience and inspiration from one generation of artists to another. It allows preserving and developing traditions, as well as opening new horizons of creativity.
The Renaissance era is a vivid example of this, as artists sought to revive ancient ideals of harmony and beauty. They studied the works of their predecessors to create something new and unique. This allowed them not only to reinterpret the classical heritage, but also to open new perspectives for the development of art.
Challenges I ran into
Each image consists of 4 layers that complement each other. The collection was assembled over half a year, and the first sketches and idea appeared a year ago.
More than 100 different characters were removed from old paintings, for some of them we had to use artificial intelect to complete the image. The backgrounds were also stripped of the characters and partially finished using ai. More than 100 different textures correcting the background. Here were used photos Digital background, the topmost layer. Light effects, most of them used program glitch effect. Really wanted to realize live paintings, but lacked the resource.
Thanks for watching.
