The Queen Painting as ritual, fashion statement, artefact, Node and seed
I painted the first layers of The Queen painting, on the same spot where we began to shoot my music film Queensland.
I wanted it to absorb that power & to connect it to my OtherFaces.
OtherFaces #023 was the face I wore in this film. In January, Pindar Van Arman had installed the Queensland OtherFace in his Portrait Gallery.
I wore The Queen Painting as a dress in the series PAINTED, my first fashion statement in the cryptoart space.
Those photographs, as well as The Queen Painting itself are now integrated as training data in my current AI fashion work.
Queen is the foundation and the precipice from which my art continues to grow.
'Self-Portrait in Lunaria' is my genesis AI piece - it was a finalist in Claire Silver's AI Contest.
I used screenshots from my third "All dressed up & nowhere to go" carpark film 'Lunaria', also shot in the same carpark as Queensland & where I began the first layers of 'The Queen Painting', as the root image collaborating with AI for 'Self-Portrait In Lunaria'.
The hat crown sculpture I also hand-made & wore it in reverse for my PAINTED shoot while embraced by 'The Queen painting'.
The hat crown features in my final film from the series 'Lunaria'.
