Spacefaring humans have a different relationship with Time than did their earthbound ancestors. Severed from the daily and monthly cycles of their ancestral sun and solitary moon, their biological circadian rhythms now present a constant challenge. Once an evolutionary anchor to the spiritual here and now of nature, cycles inside cycles, these ancient instincts remain now as vestigial memories of their species' greatest failures. With bodies forever out of sync and unable to forget the memories in their DNA, they choose to celebrate the things that make them human: hope, greed, love, and the gnomon of twelve divisions. Join us here at 11:38, twice each earth-day, for one earth-minute of celebration.
