Purple Moon

Personally, this artwork symbolizes change for me. I have made the difficult decision to move back to the countryside, to be closer to old friends and family. I also see that this art resonates with my previous piece, 'Cheap Problems.' It has been a challenging change and decision, and I'm still in the process. I used to believe that the big city was synonymous with success and well-being, but the urban environment comes with various issues and situations that I prefer to deal with occasionally, perhaps during a trip or something similar.

I imagine I will feel better in my hometown where I grew up, surrounded by friends who have been with me since before my journey as 'omentejovem,' and of course, my family. And if I don't feel better, things are not set in stone, and I will be able to make another decision if I choose to. I believe this change will allow me to travel more and meet other friends along the way. I feel the need for a home and a place where I feel good, with people who make me feel good, with love and less rush and selfishness from the big city.

"Ether-Man ll" is a continuation from my first ever edition on Ethereum Blockchain called "Ether-Man", which firstly was minted on 01/11/2021 through the OpenSea Shared contract but has the ability to burn and get it on my own contract. The artwork speaks about my gratitude and needing from my collectors support and faith to keep achieving good things with my creative passion and crafts on my career. I believe an artist can't build a legacy alone, without relationships, and with both of our forces and faith, good things can come. I believe we all can't be really independent from relationships and nature, it would be non-natural if so. A big thank you for all my collectors, I'm happy that is my first ever mint on 2024. Let's go!

We are part of a grand cycle, and we can observe examples of it in the most simple and common things in the world. Things begin and end. Things begin, end and they start over. All the time.

The Cycle

For omentejovem, Mapping the Unseen emerged through a process just as elusive as the title suggests. While the result may appear enigmatic, its creation was guided by instinct rather than calculation. At a certain point, the work – and the Stories on Circles collection as a whole – came to a standstill just before it was final for the artist. Too much emphasis had drifted toward conscious control, wanting to achieve a certain level, and something vital then fell out of reach. Only by letting go, by stepping back into moments of unstructured observation and quiet reflection, did the process regain momentum. This piece holds that shift: a subtle record of release and reconnection with the subconscious currents that shape the work beneath the surface.

Mapping the Unseen

For omentejovem, the concept of ‘desire’ underpins this work. I Am Where You Aren’t offers the collector a choice between two perspectives of the same piece, to be switched on-chain.
Choosing between the mirrored versions, the artist wants you to explore the tension between longing for something and not having control over that, and being present somewhere whilst also wanting to be in another, distant place. Each carrying its own absence, omentejovem purposely shaped both sides, reflecting opposing yet connected positions.
