SLICE OF HEAVEN

Rumor has it that those who hold a Slice of Heaven will be Blessed for all Eternity.. “SLICE OF HEAVEN” is a generative series in which scenes from heaven are fused with Beeple’s exceptional #Everyday works.

GENESIS (MY BEAUTIFUL DARK TWISTED FANTASY)

A genesis collection by BEEBLE BLOCKS.

This collection is an exploration of other-worldly cityscapes and dark fantasies in the visual aesthetic of BEEBLE’s distinct style with abstract digital paint in psychedelic colors.

The title, referring to an old Kanye West album, alludes to a troubled mind seeking escape, for a moment in which we can no longer differentiate between what is real and what is fantasy.

HELLFIRE

“HELLFIRE” is a compositional system in which hellscapes are generated and fused with Beeple’s exceptional #Everyday works.

The main generation of this collection use GAN modeling. I’ve been playing with this technique since 2018, and I’ve used it in dozens of works during that time. Striking the right balance of unpredictability and quality is a difficult challenge for even the best generative artists in this field. The technique corrupts the initial images by progressively adding Gaussian noise. Neural networks reverse the corruption process. Running this reversed corruption process synthesizes data from pure noise by gradually denoising it until a clean heavenscape is produced.

The main environmental parameter of the composition is the underlying #Everyday image. The #Everyday determines the hellscape’s colors and defines specific phenomena for each of them, such as “HELL” texts, framing decisions, color composition, and character elements. The hellscape has several possible variables, which can be major: characters, faces, or micro: red hues and dark undertones. The algorithm, most of the time, takes the colors present in the #Everydays, breaks the boundary between them, generating chromatic masses.
