Description

Write a song about someone renovating their bathroom and finding time capsules from the previous owners - old newspapers from 1978 with headlines about Carter and Begin, a plastic cowboy figure, and a bunch of Schlitz and Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans. The song should explore the idea of how objects hold echoes of the past and how we project meaning onto them, incorporating lines like "little time capsules of someone's life", "kinda wild how matter holds memory in a way", "like those toys and beer cans are just aluminum until we decide they're significant", and "it's weird how we form these connections to totally random stuff". It should also touch upon the feeling of uncovering hidden histories and the strange intimacy of finding traces of strangers' lives, using the specific details of the discovered objects to build a narrative about the previous owners.
