Ribbons: Two Sheets in Red (2022) Pixels are to computer screens as lines are to plotters. If you draw many pixels in the same place you are left with a single pixel, but if you draw many lines in the same place you are left with a torn sheet of paper. "Ribbons" are an algorithm I developed to elevate the line by giving it depth, width, and the presence to occlude its neighbors, ultimately preserving the page they are drawn upon. The seven pieces exhibited in this series are a small sample of the range this algorithm has, each chosen to highlight the delightful complexity that emerges from carefully overlapping many lines. Paper Dimensions: 28 x 36 cm JPG Dimensions: 6970 x 8958 px --- This token is a high-resolution scan of the associated physical plotter artwork. Both the digital token and the physical plot are intended to be held by the same individual. Redemption of the physical plot is optional. The buyer shall be responsible for the cost of shipping and framing. Until the physical plot is redeemed, it will stay in the custody of the artist. It is the responsibility of the previous owner to transfer the physical plot to the new owner in the event of a sale. The physical will not be replotted by the artist.
