This unique stream of sand weaving between mud tiles was found in the Mesquite Dunes area near Stovepipe Wells. What this means is that these cracks are rarely touched by moisture and the edges are worn from the scouring of sand constantly in motion here in this desolate place. When I showed this to some of my friends and previous collectors, they mentioned a river of sand, a snake, and a worm. I see a Kokopelli flute player from Native American traditional art.
