~Princess's Valentine's Day~
The kitchen of the castle at midnight. Light leaks from the kitchen after everyone has gone to bed.
Inside, a girl with long blonde hair is hard at work cooking something while looking at her notes.
"I'm not going to let that girl beat me..."
A girl stirring the whipped cream with single-minded devotion.
She is Princess Menea, the second princess of this country.
Alice, a lady knight, stood by her side, holding a sugar.
"Princess, please stop."
"But I can't lose to her!"
Menea's face was full of determination.
"But the whipped cream is already done!"
"Oh, that's right."
"If you serve this on a platter..."
"Then it would be delicious!"
"And if you add some more chocolate sauce and sprinkle cinnamon over it...it will be perfect! It'll taste so good!"
"Yes, yes. That's what I'm talking about."
Alice replies with a troublesome look on her face.

I was the one who told the princess about Valentine's Day.
I thought I would just make chocolate and hand it over.
I never thought this would happen to the princess...

After I heard that guy spent Christmas with the innkeeper's daughter, the princess changed.

"Princess! It's salt!" The head chef comes running in a hurry.

Something grazed Alice's face. I look back and see a knife deeply stuck in the wall.
Thus, the princess was banned when people were in the kitchen.

Then a week.
Every night all night Alice and the princess practiced making chocolates.
"...is complete!"
"Congratulations Princess!"
"Thank you very much, Alice."
They made hundreds of chocolates.
Almost all of these are failures.
"You have been working hard, Princess. You should take a rest now."
"No! We need to practice more!"
In the meantime, it was the morning of Valentine's Day.
They came out of the kitchen looking limp.
"It's finally finished."
"You did a great job, Princess."
I see Rookie Knight and that guy doing their morning practice.
"Now all we have to do is give them the chocolate..."
What's going on? The princess is blushing red and muttering something in a muffled voice.
"What should we do? What should I say to him and give it to him? I'm sure they wouldn't be happy to receive my chocolates in the first place..."
Alice had a look of more trouble than making chocolate.
"Princess! What are you so afraid of? Do you want to remain defeated by the innkeeper's daughter?"
Was it the innkeeper's daughter that inspired you? The princess's face came alive with motivation!
"Yes! Yes! I am going to win!"
"All right, then let's get started!"
The princess took off toward the training grounds.
"Wait! Princess!"
"Huh?!"
Alice sighed.
"It's all about creating the right atmosphere for this kind of thing, isn't it? There's no way I'm giving it to her during training!"
"Oh, I see..."
"That's right!"

The princess was horrified by the impossible event. So was Alice, and they both looked at each other.
"This is a Valentine's Day present from my daughter to everyone in the castle! Taste it and eat it!"
The king said in a good mood and picked up the chocolate...
"Don't eat it!""Don't eat it!"
The voices of the princess and Alice echoed throughout the castle!

～王女のバレンタインデー～
真夜中の城の厨房。皆が寝静まった後の厨房から光が漏れている。
中では金髪のロングヘアの少女がメモを見ながら一生懸命に何かを作っている。
"あの子には負けないわ..."
一心不乱に生クリームをかき混ぜる少女。
彼女はこの国の第二王女、メネア姫だ。
その傍らには、女騎士のアリスが砂糖を持ち立っていた。
"姫様、止めてください"
"でも、彼女には負けられないわ！"
メネアの顔は決意に満ちあふれていた。
"でも、生クリームはもう出来上がってますよ！"
"ああ、そうでしたね"
"これを大皿に盛ったら..."
"そしたらおいしいですね！"
"さらにチョコレートソースを加えてシナモンをかければ...完璧よ! すごくおいしくなるわよ！"
"そうそう。そういうことです"
アリスは面倒くさそうな顔で答える。

ただチョコレートを作って渡すだけだと思っていた。
まさか姫様がこんなことになるとは......。

あいつが宿屋の娘とクリスマスを過ごしたと聞いてから、姫が変わりましたた。
やる気があるのはいいことですが…
"姫！それは塩です！" 料理長が慌てて走ってくる。
"姫様？この小さな塊は何ですか？"
"何を言ってるの？イチゴよ" 唖然とするメイドたち。
まさか王女がここまでとは

なぜチョコレートを作る時に 鍋が爆発するんだ？
ヒューッ！
アリスの顔を何かがかすめた。振り返ると、壁に深く刺さった包丁がある。
こうして、人が台所にいるとき姫は出入り禁止になった。

それから一週間。
アリスと姫は毎晩徹夜でチョコレート作りの練習をしました。
"...完成です！"
"おめでとうごさいます、姫様！"
"ありがとう、アリス"
二人は何百個ものチョコレートを作った。
ほとんど全部が失敗作です。
"よく頑張りましたね、姫様。もう休まれてはどうですか？"
"だめよ、もっと練習しなくちゃ！"
そうこうしているうちに、バレンタインデーの朝を迎えました。
二人はぐったりした様子で台所から出てきました。
"やっと完成したんだ"
"よく頑張りましたね、姫様"
新人騎士とあいつが朝の訓練をしているのが見える。
"あとはチョコを渡すだけ..."
どうしたんだ？姫は顔を真っ赤にして、くぐもった声で何かをつぶやいている。
"どうしたらいいんだろう？なんて言って渡せばいいんだろう。そもそも私のチョコレートをもらっても嬉しくないだろうし......"
アリスはチョコレートを作るよりも面倒な顔をしていた。
"姫様！？何をそんなに恐れているのですか？宿屋の娘に負けたままでいいのですか？"
宿屋の娘に唆されたのか？姫の顔はやる気満々で生き生きとしていた!
"そうね！そうね！私は勝つわ！"
"よし、それでは始めましょう！"
姫は修行場に向かって飛び出した。
"お待ちください、姫！"
"え？！"
アリスはため息をついた。
"こういうのは雰囲気作りが大事でしょう？訓練中に渡すなんてありえない！"
"ああ、なるほど..."
"そうです！"

"朝食後、庭園での雰囲気作りはおまかせください！"
"わかりました。緊張してきた..."

今朝の朝食は、いつもと少し違う雰囲気だった。
なぜかアリスとあの人までが招待されていた。
皆、父である王様と一緒なので緊張していたが、たまにはこういうのもいい。
"おはようございます、陛下"
"おはようございます、アリス"
"やあ、二人ともどうしたんだい？今日は様子が変よ。"
"王様の前で緊張してるんだわ。"
"そうなのか？まあ、二人が仲良くなってよかった。自分を理解してくれる人を探すのは大変なんだから"
食事は優雅に進み、最後に美しくラッピングされたプレゼントが皆に配られました。
包みを開けると、見たことのある不格好な形のチョコレートが...。
"え？待って、待って...どういうこと？"
ありえない出来事に王女は愕然とした。アリスも同様で、二人は顔を見合わせた。
"これは娘からお城のみんなへのバレンタインデーのプレゼントだ! よーく味わって食べなさい！"
王様は上機嫌でそう言って、チョコレートを手に...
"食べちゃだめー！""食べちゃだめです！"
お姫様とアリスの声がお城に響き渡りました!
