Description

The crisp scent of pine needles after a quick sunshower filled the air as Chinko lowered their azure visor. They pointed towards a break in the canopy. "Two hours," they announced with a familiar side smile, "plenty of time to gather the last of the sun-berries before the evening chill sets in." While still a trainee in most of the traditional crafts of The Heart of the Forest, Chinko had mastered the art of the perfect forecast. Their visor wasn't for tracking Soul Chasers, but for finding the warmest patches of sunlight for an afternoon nap or predicting the precise moment a breeze would carry festival music through the amber trees. They weren't a warrior, but their knack for timing made them the hero of every picnic.
