light leak on the peninsula

Description

Growing up on a peninsula is an interesting phenomenon. It is one way in and one way out, and the effects of that have shown. There are people that still walk the neighborhood that I went to school with, living in the same house, with no motivation to leave. We have a running theory that this town is a black hole, swallowing up the most vulnerable into a lifestyle that seems polar opposite of a town surrounded by water. As much as there has been loss in my little town, it's moments such as this that give me hope for a brighter future- the snow bringing a touch of purity, and the shimmer from the sun that crashed through the clouds, illuminating through the window from the back of the house. Cold grays meet warm yellows in a harmonious display that feel like change is not just possible, but it's coming. camera: Mamiya 645 film: Cinestill 800t 1/1 Film Photo
